It is a pity that there are so many wasted elements, because Valkyrie Elysium has the necessary tools to reach Valhalla... But it stays halfway. Even so, if you like action RPGs and Norse mythology, you will enjoy it with its spectacular combats.

FIFA 23 complies, but does not abandon the path of continuity. EA Sports bids farewell to its legendary license with interesting gameplay tweaks that will have their defenders and detractors, as always. FIFA 23 looks a little better, as always. FIFA 23 maintains what sells, as always; and FIFA 23 brings us quality and fun soccer, as always.

Alfred Hitchcock Vertigo may get a ball at first, but if you persevere in the most tedious the story will end up catching you. It's a reimagining of the 1958 classic, with all-new characters and plots. His connection to Hitchcock is sometimes caught by the hair, but he has a personality of his own and a story that deserves to be told.

Grounded is a very remarkable survival RPG that is only taking its first (and tiny) steps. It has a huge potential to become one of the essentials of the genre, but it already has enough wickers to fall in love with survival fans. Give it a try if you can, because it deserves it.

The Diofield Chronicle has been a pleasant surprise. Square Enix pulls out of its sleeve a new tactical role-playing IP with deep and challenging real-time combat that brings a touch of freshness to the genre. Despite dragging narrative problems, if you like SRPG and master English, this game can earn a place on your console or PC.

Shovel Knigh Dig is another success in the universe of the knight of the shovel, a roguelite that, without moving too far from the formula of the genre and what has been seen in other games of the character, manages to give it a spin to make it feel somewhat fresh. And he succeeds. Guaranteed fun for lovers of the most agile and casual roguelite.

A solid game with good intentions, but that falls far short of the greats of the genre. As an appetizer it's fine, but hack and slash lovers probably prefer to wait for Bayonetta 3... or back to Devil May Cry 5.

Trails from Zero may have been outdated in some aspects, such as the technical plot or some design decisions, but it is still a small RPG gem to discover, thanks to its superb story and dialogues, which marry with a very interesting world. If you overcome its slow start and repetitive tasks, you will enjoy a great adventure.

It's not a perfect game, it's probably not the best Monkey Island. But, of course, it is a heartfelt love letter to everything we love about graphic adventures and, in short, a fun and nostalgic experience.

If the Pokémon formula is your thing, Temtem takes it a little further with its new combat, multiplayer, and higher level of challenge. It doesn't have the refinement of Pokémon in certain areas, and its "always online" component makes it impossible to play on a laptop with Nintendo Switch, if it's on a site without a Wi-Fi connection.

NBA 2K23 is one of the best games ever to jump onto a sports court. Its playable and audiovisual fundamentals are beyond doubt, but the addition of historical modes to its roster is a better move than the selection of Michael Jordan in the third place of the 1984 Draft by the Chicago Bulls.

Metal: Hellsinger is a devilishly fun shooter that puts the focus on a vertiginous action to the rhythm of the music and wraps it with mechanics that give it depth. It does not have many levels and everything revolves around repeating them to achieve the highest score and climb in the ranking, something that will not convince all players.

The arrival of F.I.S.T. Forged in Shadow Torch in physical format is great news for collectors and fans of metroidvania: it is still a great adventure, with interesting ideas, a solid combat system and an attractive staging... although on Nintendo Switch it is somewhat less sharp and spectacular.

Splatoon 3 is better than Splatoon 2: the new lobbies and catalogs make for a more rewarding experiencie... but essentially, is exactly the same, as there are no new modes within the competitive or co-op play. It's very fun but also very conservative, although it is elevated by a great single player mode, longer and similar to the Octo Expansion.

If you like quiet, collecting and exploration-oriented experiences, this will be like a theme park for you. Of course, do not expect strong emotions, just the pleasure of discovering more and more.

The non-linear narrative is a double-edged sword in Immortality, leaving us with brilliant moments of discovery but also points where the experience is "dismantled". Despite this, it is a truly unique game, essential for those who want to delve into the narrative possibilities of the medium.

It is a game designed for manga fans in general and Jojo in particular. They will enjoy a faithful and spectacular experience, while the rest will find a fulfilling game.

The Last of Us is still a masterpiece, and the PS5 remake looks truly "next gen". There are some gameplay improvements and new game modes, but it is not enough to buy the game for the third time if we already played the original and the PS4 remaster.

Plain and simple, TMNT The Cowabunga Collection is the new benchmark within retro video game compilations. Both for the selection of titles (very wide, with different versions and change of region) and for the enormous amount of extras, an example of preservation. As the turtles would say: this game is a fucking mother.
