Moonlighter 2 knows exactly what it wants to be: an honest, simple story and a satisfying gameplay loop. It has some technical problems, but nothing that really hurts the experience.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy keeps the series' gorgeous visuals and guides you without holding your hand. It's a linear 14-hour adventure that would be worth full price in any month less crowded than September.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is even prettier than before and has some of the best boss fights in years, even if the finale is less thrilling. An excellent 8.5: not perfect, but highly recommended.

Fate/Samurai Remnant reworks Koei Tecmo's Musou formula into an appealing action RPG, set in an alternate feudal Japan that samurai fans will love. English-only subtitles are a barrier for some players.

The Last of Us Part I updates the visuals but is essentially the same game. If you replayed the Remastered version recently you may not need it, but after almost ten years away it felt like playing for the first time. It would be an easy 9 without its simple bugs.

Digital Eclipse gives the classic Turtles games new life with care and respect, with responsive controls, no frame drops and strong replay value. The price is steep for a compilation, but it is recommended, especially on sale or for beat 'em up fans.

Far Cry 6 follows the usual Ubisoft formula, and that isn't a bad thing. It was a lot of fun once the weapon modding clicked, but frequent silly bugs, like enemies stuck in walls and slow restarts, cost it half a point.

A good game, especially for fans of the anime, with CyberConnect2's trademark animation and boss fights. A small roster, no Brazilian Portuguese subtitles and a story mode full of slow, dragging moments keep it from being a must-play.

Ghost of Tsushima is a great game with an incredible setting, gorgeous visuals and combat inspired by Kurosawa's samurai films. The AI could be sharper and the beautiful world feels a bit empty, and charging for the upgrades is hard to defend: wait for a sale if you can.

Greak: Memories of Azur looks like another indie metroidvania but plays differently, built around puzzles with its sibling characters. It is worth playing, but it's short and ends just as it finally gets good.

Glass Heart Games' debut has a striking art style, well-programmed controls and varied combat styles. It still needs polish and won't revolutionize the genre, but it is recommended for metroidvania fans.

Death's Door is concise, responsive, beautiful and above all fun. Made by a team of eight, it shows that consistent quality matters more than excellence in a single area. Highly recommended for everyone, and essential for fans of the genre.

NEO: The World Ends with You is a JRPG with a strong identity and a beautiful art style and soundtrack. Exploration feels too contained and the combat could give more control over the party, so wait for a price drop.

Fallen Knight is pretty, creative and has a lot of potential for Mega Man X fans, but its controls need polish and progression is too stingy. Hard, but not fair: not recommended in its current state.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a visual feast and a showcase of what the PlayStation 5 can do. It could use more side missions, but it's an excellent popcorn adventure full of action, comedy and great dubbing that runs without frame drops.

Strongly recommended: wonderful gameplay, smooth online matches and gorgeous graphics. Newcomers will have a blast, and veterans will find a true Guilty Gear despite some big changes.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is an excellent fighting game with beautiful graphics and a big roster. Its fatalities are visceral, and guests like Rambo, RoboCop and the Terminator will please older players.

New Pokémon Snap brings rich, varied scenery and a wide range of Pokémon to discover, rewarding exploration and replays. It doesn't stray far from the formula, but it delivers exactly what fans waited 22 years for, and does it well.

Death Tales is a good pastime with more content than most action-platformers, though cluttered visual effects can make the screen hard to read. Recommended for genre fans, especially to play co-op with friends.
