Final Weapon
HomepageFinal Weapon's Reviews
Trials of Mana brings the original Seiken Densetsu III experience to new and old fans while offering more content to engage in. The simple and fun combat system pairs greatly with an ability system that is easy to understand. Although it has flaws carried over from the original game, Trials of Mana is an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Streets of Rage 4 is a worthy follow-up to the original Streets of Rage trilogy. Highly recommended for both old and newcomers.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is a fantastic first attempt at recreating what made the original so special, but the price of its ambition shows with a lack of polish in some areas.
Resident Evil 3 Remake is less Resident Evil 3, and more of its own being. A great game, but lacks what made the original amazing.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a jam packed game that I consider to be one of the best games on the Switch. This game has blown me away at every turn, and I can't put it down.
DOOM Eternal is gaming bliss from start to finish. No other FPS compares to the overwhelming combat and presentation of DOOM Eternal.
This new entry into the Zombie Army series will have you planted in your seat for hours of entertainment and enjoyment.
The exposition offered on the story's plotholes is a much-needed addition and the secret bosses are some of the best challenges in the series.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions # FE Encore is an excellent combination of Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei/Persona. Features from renown RPG series are brought together for an interesting and worthwhile experience. The Switch version improves and refines upon the foundation of the Wii U version, making it a must buy for JRPG fans.
Dragon Quest XI S: Tales of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition is a must play JRPG. The story, characters, music, and gameplay are truly brilliant. Get out there and explore Erdrea for yourself and bask in its greatness.
Shenmue III is a real treat for fans and the best entry in the series so far. Improvements push the series in the right direction but it's not very friendly for newcomers. However, the overall game is an engaging experience from start to finish. It delivers what was promised by YS NET as the next chapter of the series.
Shovel Knight: King of Cards is a downright classic that is on par with the other Shovel Knight games. With the inclusion of the new mini-game Joustus, King of Cards has everything you can ask for.
Need for Speed: Heat redeems the series with engaging gameplay, insane amounts of customization and remembers its past fondly. From start to finish, racing in Palm City's night lights and sunny atmosphere reminds players why they were elated fans of a once great franchise.
Luigi's Mansion 3 is an outstanding game that is a joy to play. The newly added gameplay mechanics makes the game feel fresh and new. By no means is Luigi's Mansion 3 "Boo-ring"!
Little Town Hero is Game Freak’s first adventure outside the world of Pokémon. While it falls short in gameplay and randomly generated nightmares, it’s visuals and soundtrack are reminiscent of older Game Freak gems.
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is an unbelievably good experience on the Nintendo Switch, and it's one everyone should try. With it's jaw-dropping visuals, beautifully crafted soundtrack, and surprisingly difficult nature, Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is undoubtedly worth your time and money.
Daemon X Machina is a real treat for mecha fans. Armored Core veterans will feel right at home while experiencing new gameplay mechanics. The story has its typical Japanese anime tropes but it's re-enforced with interesting characters and conflicts. Gameplay is top notch in the mecha genre.
AI: The Somnium Files features an excellent story which I can easily recommend to fans of the genre however some questionable game mechanics and hit and miss puzzle design hold it back slightly from being an experience I could recommend to everyone.
In short, Astral Chain is fast, intense, stylish, beautiful, atmospheric, and frustrating. It's nowhere near perfect, but it's perfect enough in the impression it lives after you're done playing. This is one of the most technically impressive and fun experiences you can find on the Nintendo Switch, and at this point, it's safe to say that it's a must-own, as it's easily one of the best games of 2019.
Castle Crashers Remastered is a phenomenal title that offers players hours and hours of wacky fun. The Nintendo Switch version is the definitive way to play this game with the ability to play whenever wherever. With its wacky boss fights, fantastic combat, and plenty of humorous moments, Castle Crashers Remastered still stands tall as one of the best Beat 'Em Ups ever made.
