Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax is a great shoot 'em up. It combines a classic 2D horizontal development with certain elements from other genres such as rpg or brawler. Recommended for single player or up to four in local cooperative, where the game really shines, and for any type of audience, from novices to experts, thanks to its practically total configuration of playable parameters. A good way to get into this very niche genre.

Returning to a rejuvenated Kanto with the new graphic section is as engaging as ever and its mechanics, despite its simplicity, confirm the soundness and effectiveness of a formula that may not confer the best RPG in history, but one of the most fun. The novelties are interesting, although few. The proposal is very enjoyable no matter how old you are in the saga, however its simplification is excessive and its reason for being, observing the previous trajectory of the remakes in the saga, it seems to be a mere promotion of Pokémon Go.

Bladed Fury is a game with a charm and style all its own, even on a budget. Its incredible animations and designs inspired by ancient China are a delight, as well as its frantic and dynamic gameplay. It has some questionable design decisions and can be very short, but thanks to its excellent price it is a recommended purchase that is well worth it.

This War of Mine uses the classic formula of a social simulator but applied to a rather tricky topic: war. 11 bit studios has made it work, and very well, because the gameplay is solid, and at the same time the message of the game is clear. Before what we will believe we will be affected by a difficult decision that we really did not want to make, or we will see how that character that we liked the most about the others leaves us (in one way or another) for not having known how to take care of it. War is horrible and this game is going to show you.

Gear.Club Unlimited 2 is a racing arcade with some obvious flaws, but it's still fun enough to keep playing. A fairly drinkable alternative, especially considering the scarcity of alternatives available in Nintendo's hybrid.

If you've always wanted to get into the world of role-playing games but are overwhelmed by all those options and elements to consider, Book of Demons is your game. Its simplicity and convenience make it a very suitable game for novice players. Thanks to the curious artistic design and its system of matching cards, try to stand out from the other games of the competition so as not to be just another one of the same. It is possible that due to its graphic aspect or its simplicity, the most experimented players can be pushed back in this kind of games, but it has options available for all kinds of players and it is totally recommended.

99 Lives is a "me against the neighborhood" with which anyone can travel to the times when the genre lived a golden age and enjoy a title with a lot of content and a lot of fun to play, both alone and with others.

Everspace is a great space adventure with roguelike elements that will make us play over and over again to be better prepared and go further in each game. Four ships with improvements with a high level of customization, and a beautiful space as few we have seen will invite us to advance, explore, trade, fight and die, especially the latter, as it will be the only way to advance our odyssey. It might technically be great for Switch, but still its fun, if it catches you, is intact.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is a competent turn-based strategy game, and although it can be quite repetitive in the long run, it offers a good amount of hours of fun for a fairly modest price. If you wait for an even better offer.

Super Hydorah has all the ingredients to become an instant classic, taking the best of the best in the genre, and masterfully combining it. It could be better with a more balanced difficulty, but we are not going to complain about a result that the geniuses of Locomalito and Gryzor87 have brilliantly solved. If you like shoot'em up, Super Hydorah cannot be missing from your collection.

Subnautica is postulated as a standout among the survival genre. Offering the player clarity and a storyline to guide the experience, find a place among my personal Olympus of games dedicated to weathering the storm when we are abandoned in a desolate place.

FullBlast is a small independent product with a nostalgic flavor. It is easy, very short, visually bland and has no reason to replay it. However playing it both alone and accompanied guarantees a good time of fun at a low price. Recommended for those who enjoy the SHMUP genre and are not looking for a challenge.

Octopath Traveler is an honest title, it knows what it's going for, it has a clear direction and it doesn't try to fool the player. A JRPG that seeks to pay tribute to the genre's brilliant times in the 16/32 bits but that knows how to take risks and propose novelties at a mechanical and, mainly, narrative level. The producer said at the time: "We want to make a game that we like ourselves and not to attract the masses" and this is evident in every minute of play. This doesn't mean I don't have problems. His system of combat, the construction and exploration of his world and his audio-visual output border on excellence. However, on a narrative level, although it explores new directions with very good ideas, it does not exploit its potential and its main game structure tends to become repetitive.

R-Type Dimensions EX although it is not a completely new product, it has received some small innovations that have only improved the compilation that we have already enjoyed the last generation. We will be able to enjoy the two classic arcades with a spectacular audiovisual facelift, or switch with just one button to the late 80s arcade we all know. The two player mode is a success, and the slow motion mechanics will lend us a hand, although the infinite mode will be a negative counterpoint, since it will give us the game canceling its difficulty and challenge. If you like R-Type, this compilation of the first two installments is essential.

If you like vintage flavored racing arcades, Horizon Chase Turbo is a must. It brings the best of those classics, it adds an absurdly large amount of content, a technical and artistic section that convinces whoever gets ahead, and complements it with a soundtrack that is vintage. Fun, direct, long, complete, beautiful, challenging, addicting ... It could go on like this all day, but it's easier to say that if you like the genre that Horizon Chase offers us, this game is necessary in your collection.

Steel Rats is good proof that you can continue to innovate in genres where little evolution is expected and that if things are done well they don't have to fail. Although it's a good starting point, it's not a perfect game and it needs some tweaks in its formula, especially in the control and the variety of scenarios and enemies. Still, it's a very fun and addictive game that will keep you hooked until you overcome all your challenges.

Trine is a colorful action-platform adventure with visually rich settings that will delight fans of the genre. It also has a very careful sound section, with beautiful melodies setting each level, which contribute to complete a game that, without being perfect, has very high production values. Totally recommendable.

Sky Force Anniversary has surprised me with its classic proposal, but at the same time so highly current, with a progression system that is not based solely on progress, but on the achievement of different objectives (medals) and the need to improve our ship to carry them out. A technical section turned out, stable, and curious when mixing a more realistic art on stage with another more retro art on enemies, which accompanies wonderfully fast action, without complexes, and that will invite us to play and play almost without giving bill. At some point if it could have been improved or expanded, but those points that we mentioned before do not blur the final result either. Highly recommended.

The Forest offers us an interesting experience of survival with dyes of terror, in which all its mechanics are balanced. Without too many ornaments or tediousness; direct, functional and effective. In addition, the PlayStation 4 adaptation has arrived with a great finish. If you like exploration and especially challenges, the Endnight Games title is made for you.
