There are still only a few games that do what XCOM does, and even fewer that do it so well.
Visuals that are dated for 2016, but enough driving to wear out all four tyres.

Like it always has, your fandom with Assassin's Creed will determine your level of interest. Despite being a side-show from the annual attractions, it's still business as usual. Standard stealth with a null story amidst an interesting and unventured historical period. Like me, that last part may be enough to entice. Just don't expect the former to feel as novel.
One of the better JRPGs on a system that's full of them.
While not a revolutionary game, Yo-Kai Watch is testament to Level 5's ability to breathe new life into familiar concepts. More than any game in recent memory, Yo-Kai Watch as a whole is an experience that I enjoyed more the longer I played it. While combat was initially off-putting, taking the time to acclimatise revealed a far more complex set of systems than were initially apparent. With delightful characters, beautiful scenery, and missions both intriguing and bizarre, I can see why Japan has fallen in love with Yo-Kai Watch.
Great, and not just "for an indie studio"

This is a game for anyone looking for some light, easy fun either by themselves or with friends.
When you're not waiting for it to load, Just Cause 3 is an incredibly fun game. Crisp visuals and a clever soundtrack bring all the explosions to life. Even with the violence and destruction, it manages to maintain a lighter tone than the Far Cry games, without sliding into the outright silliness of Saints Row. But, it's still silly enough. Dropping boats on satellite dishes, tying enemy soldiers to exploding gas tanks, and grappling, wingsuiting, and parachuting the length and breadth of beautiful Medici, just to blow the crap out of it. Just Cause 3 is an absolute blast.
Classic Zelda puzzle-dungeons in a simple, in-and-out format.
If you liked any of Quantic Dreams' previous titles, or are a fan of pick-a-path adventure titles like those from Telltale Games, I'd say the Playstation 4 version of Beyond: Two Souls will bring a decent amount of joy. The story is a little slow throughout, and it often feels like an interactive cutscene, but the graphics are good, the choices are interesting, the acting is great, and overall I feel the journey is more than worth the price of entry.
Like I said, a diehard Project Zero fan may find something to like here, and if you do find yourself enjoying shooting ghosts with film instead of bullets, there are plenty of collectibles to be earned by getting high scores (including some very out-of-place Nintendo-themed outfits). If you're that hardcore of a fan, you probably bought Maiden of Black Water on day one - so if you didn't, you may want to give it a pass.
An alright platformer with charming looks and characters, but nothing revolutionary.
So, with twelve bikes to unlock, enough Tours and challenges to last a week or two, and absolutely stunning scenery and weather, Driveclub Bikes is a solid DLC. When promised extra content starts pouring in, like the trophies and unusable cars, there's no telling how much better Driveclub Bikes might get.
In the end, this is a rather shortlived experience that dives head first into a pit of tedium after some early promise. Kraken have definitely produced something intriguing, though the game soon needs to resort to padding to stretch its length. A little more content to back up its tight controls and polished presentation would have made Kromaia Omega a far more exciting title, though there's enough here to be excited for what comes next from Kraken Empire.
Heavy decisions and fun action, but a poor end to an overall enjoyable season
This might not be the game we're looking for.
