A dire and unfun attempt at sprucing up one of the worst "sports" ever invented.

Skyward Sword is one of those Zelda titles that has aged the worst, yet it's still a part of a franchise that I love to bits, and that counts for something. The story is grand and ambitious, and that makes up for a flawed gameplay experience. At least a little.

It's the first two classics perfectly remastered, now in the palm of your hand. What more could you want?

Final Fantasy VII was a masterpiece when it was first released. Its remake is an ambitious attempt at recontextualizing the classic dieselpunk adventure for modern audiences, and it's a roaring success. It's one of the great games of a generation.

I give Dark Alliance points for getting the visuals and the mood exactly right. It's just a shame they got everything else wrong.

Necromunda is a budget title, and as long as you remember that, you'll have fun with this Doom-clone set in the Warhammer 40k universe.

A charming and accessible creation tool that teaches game‑making through guided lessons and playful logic blocks, Game Builder Garage succeeds as an approachable introduction to development. Its Nodons, visual scripting, and well‑structured tutorials make experimentation fun, though limitations in asset variety, slow lesson pacing, and the awkward code‑sharing system hold it back from being a fully flexible creation suite. Still, for beginners and young creators, it’s a surprisingly powerful and delightful sandbox.

Cloudpunk: City of Ghosts is a strong narrative-driven expansion that builds on the neon-lit, dystopian world of Cloudpunk, offering more of what fans loved. While it doesn’t introduce new areas or mechanics, it excels in atmosphere, character development, and story depth, making it a worthy continuation. The occasional grind and repetitive delivery loops may wear thin, but the rich storytelling and immersive cityscape keep the experience compelling throughout its 20-hour runtime.

A clever, compact visual novel where you play the murderer rather than the detective, Overboard! turns a classic whodunit upside down. With its tight time loop, witty writing, and multiple routes to escape justice, it’s a charming and stylish experience even though some players may crack the “perfect” solution a bit too quickly. Still, its replayability, atmosphere, and smart design make it a delightful surprise from a small team.

If we have to spend this long with characters we hate, at least make the exploration and biking mechanics fun. Instead, we get tedious busywork in fixing a bike that never feels like the real thing and a world full of fetch quests and very few scares.

A playful, chaotic puzzle‑toy hybrid where you control a mischievous little cloud causing trouble across dozens of short, humorous levels. Its varied objectives, pop‑culture parodies, and unlockable cosmetic silliness keep the experience lively, even if not every idea lands perfectly. Light, goofy, and easy to enjoy, it’s a breezy few hours of creative mayhem.

Forgotten Fields attempts a heartfelt dual narrative about a struggling writer and his fantasy story but falters due to clunky controls, technical issues, and outdated design. While its warm, introspective tone and soundtrack offer some charm, the gameplay is bogged down by bugs, stiff animation, and lackluster visuals. Despite a decent ending and short runtime, the overall experience struggles to stay immersive or engaging, making it suitable mostly for achievement hunters or the most forgiving narrative game fans.

A surreal, dialogue‑driven road trip where you piece together a stranger’s past from the passenger seat, Hitchhiker – A Mystery Game relies heavily on atmosphere and conversation rather than gameplay. Best suited for fans of minimalist narrative games.

A charming idea and a delightful visual style can’t save Buildings Have Feelings Too! from becoming a frustrating slog. The game imagines a city where buildings walk, talk, and have emotional needs, but the actual gameplay devolves into tedious micromanagement, rigid placement puzzles, and endless juggling of unhappy structures.

A colourful, handcrafted adventure offers relaxed platforming, charming visuals, and a steady stream of playful ideas. The low difficulty and gentle pacing may not challenge seasoned players, but the creativity and warmth make the journey consistently delightful.

Disco Elysium is one of the greatest games ever made. It's a lyrical, smart, funny, heartbreaking, and dazzlingly inventive work of art that sets a new standard for the entire industry to follow.

Outriders delivers fast-paced, addictive looter-shooter action with satisfying combat mechanics, strong class variety, and a clever loot-mod system that encourages build experimentation. However, the experience is dragged down by its bland and repetitive mission design, a painfully linear world structure, forgettable story, and frequent technical issues like unstable servers. While the gunplay is engaging and the loot progression rewarding, its shallow writing and rigid structure prevent it from reaching its full potential—fun, but ultimately forgettable.

El Hijo – A Wild West Tale reimagines the spaghetti western by replacing shootouts with stealth, creativity, and childlike ingenuity. Its charming world, light difficulty, and clever mechanics make it an inviting introduction to stealth games and a surprisingly delightful adventure from start to finish.

What begins as a simple exercise in sorting boxes quickly turns into an oddly soothing blend of chaos, logic, and personal organization philosophy. With its charming visuals, clever mechanics, and surprisingly addictive gameplay loop, Wilmot’s Warehouse becomes a uniquely satisfying puzzle experience, especially when shared with a friend.
