Salsa Rocket League Review

Oct 23, 2024
It's a tale as old as time... A indie game developer creates a wonderful adored game full of passionate players and a thriving trading community. It did so well that it got the attention of big daddy epic and it was all down hill from there. In 2019 Epic Games announced its acquisition of Psyonix and marked the death of Rocket League. Epic wasted no time moving this game over to the free to play model and rolling out their version of a battle pass. After that, game updates turned into mediocre skins and items no one really wanted. Then, Dec 5th 2023 Epic games killed the trading community calming they did so "to align with the rest of Epic games overall approach to game cosmetics and item shop polices". In reality, this was a thinly veiled move to nuke a player based economy and ensure any money involved stays in the fat cat's pockets. Epic games has shown time and time again that the customer input does not matter and their actions here support that. They are simply another large cooperation who will spit in our face and tell us you'll like it! The CEO of Epic Tim Sweeney is worth and estimated 7.4 billion dollars mean while Epic layed off 16% off their workforce last year. It is clear to me Epic is stadial for profit company who could care less about the individual. They ruined Rocket League and they will surly ruin future games. Epic Games go fu(k yourself.
