My Reviews

Muse Dash
A greatly addicting rhythm game, shocking that such a simple concept can be so fun. One of the Rhythm games that I have stuck with for a long time.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (PC Edition)
The most well rounded game in the series. No annoying mini games, strong characters, emotional moments, a solid plot and charming dialogue. As someone who generally doesn't care for visual novels or anime, this was a really fun time.

Baldur's Gate 3
As a dnd player, this is a fantastic aside with deep systems, great characters, writing and voice acting with combat that sidesteps a lot of the tedium that dnd can bring. Most immersed in a western RPGs story of all games I have played.

Elden Ring
As someone who was skeptical from the trailers, this game turned to be a fantastic triumph. A combat system that has learned from past games, bosses and level design up to scratch with past iterations and what I felt was the most compelling lore and world yet, with the support

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
I haven't felt this attached to characters, story and world for a video game, possibly ever (maybe undertale?). This is a truly remarkable piece of art and a really fun game to boot.

Gravity Rush 2
While the plot is lacking, the fantastic visuals, music and atmosphere make up for it. Gameplay is satisfying but combat can be wonky.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
A good time with friends and a strong selection of characters. Easy to learn but with many fighting game fundamentals.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition
High res textures and neat architecture makes the environments enjoyable. Overall a tight and enjoyable third person shooter with good pacing, music and likeably schlocky dialogue.

Gears 5
Pretty visuals, solid gunplay, tight pacing and likeable characters. Main issue, much like Gears 4 is the feeling that the stakes and villains are a notable downgrade from the originals. Gears 5 continues the sequel series' failure to capture the hopelessness and grandeur that made the original series so impactful.

Cyberpunk 2077
Good art direction and fun character creator creates a world that is fun to be in. Bugs are annoying, gameplay can be messy but mostly fine.

Psychonauts 2
Slow start and middling ending but the middle chunck is a fantastic marriage of gameplay, visuals, music and characters/voice acting.

Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls
Came into this with middling expectations considering the poor reception this game got. While some cut-scenes and dialogue drags on at moments, I ultimately really enjoyed the writing and characters. The atmosphere and music is top notch. The janky shooting is greatly held up with interesting mechanics and enemy placements.

Outer Wilds
Wonderful music, atmosphere, strong writing and a small galaxy that feels much bigger than most space games with its variety of planet mechanics and sense of fear.

Marvel Rivals
As someone who has been disinterested in the MCU since iron man 2 and with limited interest in the hero shooter genre, the fantastic art style and solid gameplay loop in this game was able to break through all those past barriers and get me addicted. A fun shooter with

Resident Evil 2
Much like RE:Remake, this title effectively captures the satisfaction of slowly and sequentially going through objectives and planning out your little adventures. Resource management in hardcore mode is also enjoyable. Visuals and atmosphere are gorgeous. Main issues, Mr X and the William are outrageously dull and annoying to deal with.
