Tahseen Mina the Hollower Review

Jun 27, 2026
What a gorgeous game that Yacht Club has put together, and I’m saying that as someone who has never experienced the golden era of pixel art. The gameplay being fun and challenging really is the cherry on the cake. I had a blast playing through Mina the Hollower. The difficulty is definitely a steep barrier and as a result, there were multiple points in the game where I got frustrated to the point of giving up entirely. Never the less, I kept trying, got better and finished the game. Shout out the devs for giving us a myriad of options to tweak the difficulty to your liking. I was too full of pride to back down but I’m sure it’ll be of use to others. On the other hand, The story was a whole load of nothing. Some generators to fix, a bad guy, and the “twist” that most people figure out immediately. That ending was also a bit of a dud. No ones here for the story. I’m here for that gorgeous art style, the lovely music and the hard as all he11 combat. Last thing, shout out to Yahtzee Croshaw, cause without him complaining about the mirrors, I would’ve gone the entire game without figuring that out. “I am a mouse and I’m digging a hole... diggy diggy hole” 8/10
