Despite its revamped graphics and soundtrack, Front Mission 2 Remake is an utterly forgettable and frustrating reimagining, thanks to a large and varied cast of problems. I just hope Square Enix treats their sagas better, because they went for the cheap option and it backfired. If they are not going to invest as they should to improve or fix past games, at least try not to break them anymore.

Gemdrops revitalizes one of the best installments of the Star Ocean saga with Star Ocean: The Second Story R, a new remastering that offers a wonderful RPG experience. Square Enix should take into consideration giving more possibilities to Gemdrops because it is a studio that has the capacity to create real gems. A beautiful video game from the best era of the genre brought to the present day.

An extremely fun installment, although this comes hand in hand with an inescapable nostalgia factor and knowing how to appreciate the references to characters or situations from previous games.

Those who are looking for a high-quality exponent of the genre will have to wait for those future patches that the title is crying out for.
