Despite the flaws (game’s not pretty and kind of boring in the beginning) I would lie if I told you I did not have fun playing Legends Z-A. The story is quite cool and the new, real-time combat system made me want to play for hours at a time. It is a breath of fresh air for the series.

Despite some of its flaws, Donkey Kong: Bananza perfectly fills a niche hungry for a colourful, joyful adventure, which provides a lot of unrestrained fun. The game draws extensively on the ideas from Super Mario Odyssey, with the addition of great mechanics of dynamic destruction. I have my fingers crossed that further games designed for Switch 2 will prove equally successful.

Echoes of Wisdom is a fantastic game that skillfully redefines the classic 2D Zelda formula, while taking inspiration from other games in the series. These changes will be noticed mostly by veterans, but even new players will find lots of fun here.
