The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road is the expansion celebrating the tenth anniversary of Zenimax's popular MMO. Sure, returning to Cyrodiil opened up a lot of memory drawers, almost like a portal to Oblivion. Unfortunately, however, we would have expected a little more in terms of content from this new chapter. It remains to be seen what will happen with the usual winter update.

We awaken as a vampire. We hunt for blood in nearby settlements to regain our strength and, to survive, we must avoid the scorching sun. We build our castle and make it thrive in an ever-changing open world full of secrets. V Rising is a solid networked survival game. The enormous depth of vampire abilities that can be unlocked and items that can be created leaves a lot of room for freedom and customisation.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is to all intents and purposes the spiritual heir to the Suikoden series. The Rabbit & Bear studio has created a game that, thanks to its passion, manages to please those who are nostalgic for Konami's JRPG series, while leaving a few perplexities for those who are unfamiliar with it.

Children of the Sun is a highly addictive puzzle game that cleverly pretends to be a shooter. A perfect production for those who prefer reflection to spectacular action. Developer René Rother has skilfully built the pace and tension within the game, even adopting divisive stylistic choices that help it stand out from the crowd.

Ereban: Shadow Legacy is another example of how easy it is to overlook small, interesting projects from independent studios in the industry, as blockbusters tend to get all the attention. Ereban: Shadow Legacy will appeal especially to those who want to try a game with stealth gameplay that is not overly punishing and allows them to experiment with our creativity and skill.

For fans of management games with a dark and unconventional theme, The Kindeman Remedy might have some appeal, but it is probably not suitable for a wider audience. The initial charm of the morbid theme quickly fades in the face of the monotony of the tasks and the game's lack of depth.

Sons of Valhalla offers an original look at Norse mythology, and mixes an action game with 2D strategy, all seasoned with a beautiful pixel art style. The atmosphere is great and the mix is appealing, but the experience is short and offers little variety.

Hideaki Itsuno breathes new life into another historic Capcom IP, and once again, the developer does not disappoint by delivering a grandiose and emotionally charged production. Dragon's Dogma 2 doesn't surprise on the one hand, adhering to the style of its prequel, but on the other hand it manages to enchant with its brilliant graphics and fights. This is one of those games where you won't want to use fast travel, because every journey is an adventure. Capcom has an intriguing universe on its hands that deserves to be developed further in the future. Dragon's Dogma 2 has the potential to delight and enchant us again.

Lightyear Frontier offers a new kind of approach to farming simulators, combining harvesting and farming mechanics with the use of a mech adapted for the occasion. The ultimate goal of the game, in this Early Access version, is to convey a feeling of tranquillity, and a relaxing experience for those players who do not like to engage in survival exploits in hostile worlds. There are many interesting ideas at the moment, but perhaps Frame Break could think about introducing some new gameplay elements that would also appeal to those looking for something more eventful.

The Thaumaturge confirms the positive trend of CRPGs of the last period, but offers its own completely original take on the genre. The setting in early 20th century Warsaw of the adventures of our tormented Wiktor adds a very special flavour to this dark-toned production.

With Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft we received a fantastic remaster that impressed us. It clearly demonstrates that old classics can shine even today, after 28 years. Lara Croft's "new" adventure is simply fantastic. However, it must be kept in mind that these are still old school games, so we must say that there will be no shortage of trial and error sessions, especially when precise jumps are required. Apart from this and a few bugs, it is a workmanlike remaster, and we hope that other software houses will follow this example. Aspyr's product is truly successful.

Persona 3 Reload is the best way to get started with Atlus' JRPG series. Its mysterious story with the improvements of the following chapters is a great recipe for this remake. And it's not far from perfection. Unfortunately, Tartarus is still empty and the developers did not have the temptation to add the additional content already present in past re-releases. However, the excellent new aesthetics, improved gameplay and Italian translation are factors that make Persona 3 Reload an unmissable purchase for JRPG fans.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the fantastic sequel to the excellent Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Ichiban's new adventure will make you have fun, but also shed just as many tears: we will witness Kiryu's swan song, in what will in effect be a handover. We are talking about an extremely long-lasting game, full of twists and turns and full of well-curated secondary activities. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is already one of the best games in the saga.

We can finally applaud the fact that the entire Ace Attorney series is now available on modern platforms, with the exception of Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney and Miles Edgeworth Investigations games. And for €49.99 new players really get incredible value for money. Unfortunately, historical fans of the series only receive small bonuses, which at the moment do not justify a new purchase. Let's hope that Capcom redeems itself soon with a new chapter, since this trilogy, despite over 80 hours of content, leaves us eager to take on the role of our favorite investigative lawyer again!

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is one of the most graphically impressive games released recently: the dynamism of the world and its details really manage to impress. The plot may not be great, but the main quest missions feature a lot of variety, and this makes the game engaging for hours. If you have a little patience in having fun finding places and characters without a well-functioning navigation system, it's definitely worth it.

Despite the shortcomings highlighted, Farsiders shows potential that could see its positive realization through future updates and patches. Continued efforts by Ghost Gambit, the Thai developer team, could improve the combat system, resolve pacing issues and offer broader customization options, thus helping to transform the game into a more complete and satisfying experience for the players.

It's a real shame that Bramble: The Mountain King suffers from such limiting game design issues, as they compromise the narrative of its dark and disturbing tale. On the gameplay side it doesn't do much to stand out from the crowd, but the atmosphere that supports it saves it from being a total disappointment.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is more than just a reimagining of the previous title. The game not only manages to appeal to the competitive audience by introducing rollback netcode and allowing crossplay between all systems, but it captivates casual players by introducing its world and new mechanics through its fun minigames. Although the first title fell short of expectations due to its release period and lack of essential modern components, we believe that Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising will succeed in bringing a new audience to its fantasy world.

While playing A Highland Song we were immediately captivated by its graphic style. The hand-painted Scottish countryside enticed us to travel the moors and hills together with Moira. The hidden objects and stories surrounding these landscapes encourage deeper exploration. The system of finding maps and the points indicated on them is an interesting diversification and an ingenious idea to give our journey a destination. The accompanying music fits in with its calm gameplay, while the rhythm game elements could have been better realised, perhaps by aiming for a different difficulty threshold: two-button combinations are not enough, and in the end A Highland Song is too easy. The plot is simple but clear, and the stories of Moira and her uncle that accompany the game perfectly complement the story. The voice acting is excellent, and we enjoyed the Scottish accent of the main characters. It's just a shame that there is no Italian translation available, which does not make A Highland Song easy to enjoy for those unfamiliar with English. A Highland Song deserves players' attention. The market needs games of this kind: simple, with a good story and attractive, stylish graphics.
