Castlevania Dominus Collection is a re-release of the three classic games in the Konami-made vampire slayer series released for the Nintendo DS: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia. These are joined by the Haunted Castle arcade and its remastered version. Definitely a great bundle, allowing you to rediscover some fun titles at a very reasonable price.

Big content and many small changes. Age of Mythology: Retold is a tribute to fans of the genre who have waited too long for the return of Microsoft's legendary strategy game. Βούλομαι!

8.4 / 10.0 - DOOM + DOOM II
Aug 16, 2024

DOOM 1 + 2 is the definitive edition of the masterpiece created by id Software, and fruit of the genius of John Carmack and John Romero. The list of updates is enormous: support for modern resolutions, achievements, multiplayer... You name it. It's time to return to Mars and exterminate the infernal hordes!

Skelethrone: The Chronicles of Ericona proposes the now customary marriage of metroidvania and soulslike, but struggles to emerge with an originality of its own. Neither its gameplay nor its artistic component help it in this regard. We hope that the developer will make the best of this debut, and that he will come back in the future with more experience and inspiration.

7.8 / 10.0 - Linkito
Jul 26, 2024

Linkito is a good puzzle game that adopts mechanics similar to the Zachtronics games. The dystopian setting adds an appealing layer to the game, and the level editor makes it potentially endless.

7.3 / 10.0 - Été
Jul 24, 2024

Été is an extremely relaxing representation of a painter's studio trip. We do not just paint and sell our pictures, but it is up to us to colour the entire world we live in. It is a pity that the technical component is not sufficiently polished, which sometimes undermines the gaming experience.

9.1 / 10.0 - Nobody Wants to Die
Jul 19, 2024

Nobody Wants to Die is an adventure game that puts us in the whiskey-stained shoes of James Karra, a hard-boiled detective living in a dystopian future where nobody really dies. The Polish guys from Critical Hit have debuted with a bang, offering us an enthralling story that, when it allows us to play, also surprises us with some excellent gameplay solutions. We can only recommend that you delve into the technological and philosophical mysteries of Nobody Wants to Die!

7.3 / 10.0 - Anger Foot
Jul 12, 2024

Anger Foot is a light-hearted game that recalls the gameplay and mood of Hotline Miami, but from a new and original perspective. Kicking thugs is a lot of fun, but our concerns remain about a soundtrack that is far too intrusive. A few performance issues also remain, for which we await corrective patches.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road is the expansion celebrating the tenth anniversary of Zenimax's popular MMO. Sure, returning to Cyrodiil opened up a lot of memory drawers, almost like a portal to Oblivion. Unfortunately, however, we would have expected a little more in terms of content from this new chapter. It remains to be seen what will happen with the usual winter update.

8 / 10.0 - V Rising
May 14, 2024

We awaken as a vampire. We hunt for blood in nearby settlements to regain our strength and, to survive, we must avoid the scorching sun. We build our castle and make it thrive in an ever-changing open world full of secrets. V Rising is a solid networked survival game. The enormous depth of vampire abilities that can be unlocked and items that can be created leaves a lot of room for freedom and customisation.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is to all intents and purposes the spiritual heir to the Suikoden series. The Rabbit & Bear studio has created a game that, thanks to its passion, manages to please those who are nostalgic for Konami's JRPG series, while leaving a few perplexities for those who are unfamiliar with it.

8.3 / 10.0 - Children of the Sun
Apr 19, 2024

Children of the Sun is a highly addictive puzzle game that cleverly pretends to be a shooter. A perfect production for those who prefer reflection to spectacular action. Developer René Rother has skilfully built the pace and tension within the game, even adopting divisive stylistic choices that help it stand out from the crowd.

Ereban: Shadow Legacy is another example of how easy it is to overlook small, interesting projects from independent studios in the industry, as blockbusters tend to get all the attention. Ereban: Shadow Legacy will appeal especially to those who want to try a game with stealth gameplay that is not overly punishing and allows them to experiment with our creativity and skill.

For fans of management games with a dark and unconventional theme, The Kindeman Remedy might have some appeal, but it is probably not suitable for a wider audience. The initial charm of the morbid theme quickly fades in the face of the monotony of the tasks and the game's lack of depth.

7 / 10.0 - Sons of Valhalla
Apr 7, 2024

Sons of Valhalla offers an original look at Norse mythology, and mixes an action game with 2D strategy, all seasoned with a beautiful pixel art style. The atmosphere is great and the mix is appealing, but the experience is short and offers little variety.

8.5 / 10.0 - Dragon's Dogma 2
Mar 30, 2024

Hideaki Itsuno breathes new life into another historic Capcom IP, and once again, the developer does not disappoint by delivering a grandiose and emotionally charged production. Dragon's Dogma 2 doesn't surprise on the one hand, adhering to the style of its prequel, but on the other hand it manages to enchant with its brilliant graphics and fights. This is one of those games where you won't want to use fast travel, because every journey is an adventure. Capcom has an intriguing universe on its hands that deserves to be developed further in the future. Dragon's Dogma 2 has the potential to delight and enchant us again.

Lightyear Frontier offers a new kind of approach to farming simulators, combining harvesting and farming mechanics with the use of a mech adapted for the occasion. The ultimate goal of the game, in this Early Access version, is to convey a feeling of tranquillity, and a relaxing experience for those players who do not like to engage in survival exploits in hostile worlds. There are many interesting ideas at the moment, but perhaps Frame Break could think about introducing some new gameplay elements that would also appeal to those looking for something more eventful.

8.1 / 10.0 - The Thaumaturge
Mar 4, 2024

The Thaumaturge confirms the positive trend of CRPGs of the last period, but offers its own completely original take on the genre. The setting in early 20th century Warsaw of the adventures of our tormented Wiktor adds a very special flavour to this dark-toned production.

With Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft we received a fantastic remaster that impressed us. It clearly demonstrates that old classics can shine even today, after 28 years. Lara Croft's "new" adventure is simply fantastic. However, it must be kept in mind that these are still old school games, so we must say that there will be no shortage of trial and error sessions, especially when precise jumps are required. Apart from this and a few bugs, it is a workmanlike remaster, and we hope that other software houses will follow this example. Aspyr's product is truly successful.
