Metaphor: ReFantazio takes a very important step for Atlus, showing that it is possible to do something much more than Persona and Shin Megami Tensei. The entire Studio Zero development team stepping out of their comfort zone and delivering an experience on this level is genuinely incredible.

Aoi Tori's biggest problem is its narrative indecision, constant stumbling over its own themes, along with a boring story with no purpose and many pacing problems. Her cast, for the most part, also fails to captivate and engage the reader and doesn't create any bond with them. Aoi Tori fails in the main aspect of a visual novel, and although it has beautiful visuals, it's hard to recommend this story.

Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes is a sequel that builds even further on the foundation that the original established with its unique fighting dynamics and pace, and manages to bring some interesting novelties to the genre. It takes a very important step for the future of the series and French-Bread, and the visual improvements, accessibility and netcode rollback are very welcome.

Persona 3 Reload is a must for all fans of the series and a good entry point into the franchise. With its philosophical themes and touching, reflective messages, the title has become one of my favorite games of recent years.
