despelote is more than just a simple game, it's a beautiful and interactive presentation of a people who have been incorporating football into their culture. With a great pace and extremely well done dialogues, the game keeps your attention and curiosity as it introduces the player to Ecuador. All this from the point of view of an 8-year-old kid with a passion for soccer.

With dreadful gameplay and extremely questionable artistic choices, All in Abyss: Judge the Fake failed to hold my interest. If the story weren’t so shallow and mediocre, and if the poker were as well-executed as it sounds in theory, we might have had a very compelling game on our hands – but the cards dealt here make me want to fold.

Kazutaka Kodaka goes beyond any of his past projects, delivering an extensive and intriguing narrative alongside a really enjoyable combat. The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- provides a satisfying experience that keeps me coming back for more.

Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is a cute, comfy game with fun mechanics that do a lot of unique things, which is almost paradoxical considering how much it's also in the mold of Nippon Ichi Software's style of games. It's a place of comfort where you go in knowing exactly what's in store for you, and that's both its strength and its flaw depending on how you look at it.

Playing Lunar for the first time was something very special, I'm glad I finally got to experience these adventures and get to know the world of one of the games most loved by JPRG fans. They'll be games I'll treasure and I'll keep humming some of their songs for a while.

The First Berserker: Khazan is a game that brought me many emotions. Sometimes, I was mesmerized by its agile and fluid gameplay, which evokes moments of true brutality. In others, I just wanted to throw the game out of the window due to the bosses causing too much damage and the tedious level design. In the end, what remains is the realization that this is an excellent game for a debut and I recommend it to fans of soulslikes more in the style of Nioh.

Blue Prince already stands out as one of the most interesting games of the year. Thought-provoking, challenging and why not even frustrating at times, but still very inventive and fun. But maybe frustration is also a valid experience, isn't it?

Bleach: Rebirth of Souls brought me an intense mix of emotions, making me hate and love the game at different times. But, in the end, an appreciation and attachment to the game remained, which is even difficult to explain. This game is a good way to consume Bleach in 2025, with a complete story mode and interesting gameplay.

The latest game in the franchise is what it is because it looks back and recognizes everything it has done in its history. It brings together the best of all those years and manages to be a brilliant piece of work in every way. Visually beautiful, engaging and extremely fun, combining so many systems. Assassin's Creed Shadows is the best Assassin's Creed ever made and the definitive Medieval Japan game.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is a renovated take on the franchise, but without forgetting what makes Atelier so special. Even though it takes a while to pick up, the game has key moments that captivated me and taught me to love the game's cast. It's a game that resembles a conventional RPG in many ways, but with touches that only those who work extremely well with characters and value daily life know how to put in and get right. Some long-time fans may feel a little lost, especially at the beginning, but if you welcome this game with open arms, it will have a lot to offer you.

Monster Hunter Wilds is imperfect, but that's okay, because it still manages to shine and offer an outstanding game. With a combat that is even better than its predecessors, with bold and interesting proposals, a campaign that is fun to follow and with exuberant monsters on the screen, it is ideal for both diehard fans and newcomers alike. But, as said, it is imperfect, since it has considerable performance issues and there is still a lot of room for improvement and refinement of its systems.

Konami brings back two RPG classics, with one of them being one of the best in history. The complex world created by Yoshitaka Murayama continues to captivate even after so many decades. Just like the heroes he created, his work has had the power to gather thousands of dedicated fans and admirers who will once again experience the political plots of this fascinating world.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is an uncompromising and charming game. It's not perfect, but it's a game that made me genuinely happy after finishing it, it's like watching an adventure movie.

Keep Driving was a pleasant surprise for me. With its chill vibe, wonderful pixel art, and incredible soundtrack, I was able to immerse myself in the road and have a cool experience while overcoming its challenges. With interesting combat, plenty of things to manage, and even a “character sheet” system, it’s an RPG that was worth trying out.

Afterlove EP is a story about overcoming. The game understands the importance of interpersonal relationships in our most difficult times and teaches us that it's important to keep memories of the past, but not to forget to live in the present and cultivate affection with the people around us.

Although it feels more like an expansion than necessarily a sequel, The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II still brings with it some of the strengths of the first game, even if some sacrifices have been made. I really don't care if you like Trails through Daybreak II or not, but calling the game filler and skippable is probably one of the most stupid things ever said about this franchise.

Although sometimes tiresome and repetitive, Urban Myth Dissolution Center is a very cool, beautiful and intriguing game. Perhaps the game's ending is a bit divisive, which leaves me hoping to see discussions about the game when it comes out.

Citizen Sleeper is not for everyone, it's a game whose greatest strength is its writing. Its interface is simple and its interactions are not animated; the game only has images and descriptions of scenes. For anyone who needs more stimulation to engage with a game, this can be tedious. That said, if you want a rich narrative experience, complex characters and intimate themes approached in creative and profound ways, Citizen Sleeper 2 is your game.

Guilty Gear Strive Nintendo Switch Edition impressed me positively. I confess that I didn't expect the game to run and look as well as it does here. Add to that the years of content this game delivers for the price of the base version, and we have one of the best versions of Strive. The only negative point that prevents it from being the best version of the game for me is that it doesn't have crossplay, greatly limiting the player base.

Synduality: Echo of Ada is a game that I had every reason to hate, since I don't like the extraction shooter genre. However, with an enjoyable mecha gameplay combined with a wide range of parts and weapons for different uses, the game creates a good mix even for those who aren't fans of the style.
