Overall, I enjoyed Utawarerumono: Zan much more than I was expecting. Once I stopped worrying about the story being torn apart, I found a very entertaining game that works for those who don't like the musou genre. I don't recommend it to anyone who wants to get into the franchise, but for those who just want a fluid action game, it might be a good choice.

Milano's Odd Job Collection shows a glimpse of a time when, while video games were evolving rapidly, not so many things were set in stone and companies of different sizes allowed themselves to experiment more. Here we have a game that, even though it uses several familiar elements, does so in a somewhat unique way. It's a short and interesting experience, and I'm glad I got to play it.

Octopath Traveler 0 is the most consistent game in the franchise, with stories that, even though they are self-contained, flow well between each other, and with well-balanced and entertaining battles. And honestly, I wish more franchises would make this kind of offline versions of mobile games.

If it was due to genuine lack of care, negligence because it’s "just a kids’ game", or some other internal issue, we’ll probably never know, but BEYBLADE X EVOBATTLE is just a mediocre game with faint glimpses that it could have been much more than that.

Dragon Quest I and II are games that bring back the classic experience of early console RPGs and show that it wasn't just nostalgia. These games have always been really good, and it's no wonder they were such a huge success. And it's great that games from that era are increasingly available today, whether as faithful ports or remakes.

Perhaps Demonschool, in trying to embrace everything, ended up achieving nothing. The life-sim system is shallow, the combat could encourage more depth in the mechanics, and the writing needed a lot of polishing. My feeling about this game is one of unfulfilled potential, in which a sequel or some other way of revisiting it could create something excellent.

Stray Children is one of those games where part of the fun comes from playing it without knowing much about it. It's a game where those who play without worrying about completing as much as possible will be less frustrated than I was and will also have a more fluid experience. But I don't think they'll have such an impactful experience, for better or for worse. Stray Children is frustrating, obtuse, and sometimes even unfair and cruel, but so is life, and yet it's still worth it.

FULL METAL SCHOOLGIRL is certainly a flawed game that expects some player flexibility to enhance the experience, which doesn’t hide its Simple Series’ DNA. Still, even if they are many, these flaws at least make for a very interesting game in the end.

The greatest strength of Digimon Story: Time Stranger is that, despite its flaws and issues, it offers a very solid and addictive experience for players. With improved gameplay that is more robust than its predecessors, it's a great game for fans and an excellent entry point into the franchise.

Once Upon a Katamari is definitely a welcome addition to the franchise. Mechanically, it is an amalgamation of the best of the series, but contextualized in an interesting way.

Playing CrossWorlds, I'm happy to see that it doesn't just carry this title because of the stages' mechanics that change in the middle of the race with portals and crossovers with franchises inside and outside Sega, but it's also a mix that takes and revises several mechanics from previous titles.

EA Sports FC 26 does not seek to revolutionize the franchise, but rather to listen to players' feedback in order to make specific adjustments. In certain respects, there has been a shift in a positive direction, resulting in a game that is better than its predecessor. However, not all of the changes are truly impactful, demonstrating that there is still much to be adjusted, especially in the game's foundation.

If a few years ago someone had told me that in 2025 we would be playing an official version of Ys vs. Trails in the Sky, with functional online play, available on multiple platforms and with a great PC port, I would have called that person crazy. It's a very strange game that represents an era of Nihon Falcom that we are unlikely to see again. The crossover between the company's two flagship series works better than it should, resulting in a very fun fighting game with great interactions.

Silent Hill f will definitely not be a positive experience for everyone, but it will be talked about for a long time. The more I think about this game, the more its qualities are highlighted and its flaws overshadowed in my mind. I got involved and even identified with specific aspects of the game. Silent Hill f is far from perfect, but for me, what it delivers is more valuable than a polished and perfect product.

Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree is far from being a perfect game. It's repetitive and a little too simple, but when it hits, it hits hard. It's the kind of experience that may not be your favorite, but you'll potentially grow fond of it if you play with the right expectations.

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter is special. Giving a game new life without losing its original essence and personality is rare in this industry. Following and reliving Estelle and Joshua's adventures through Liberl is heartwarming, just like the original game. One of the best video game franchises is now accessible to a new audience with a true entry point.

I had a lot of fun with Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, but I would be lying if I said I didn't feel tired in its final moments. Its highlights shine brightly; it's a beautiful, stylish game with fun combat. The biggest weakness of this game is not knowing how to deal with its size, which ends up repeating some formulas and tires you out before you finish, especially if you play aiming to complete everything.

Lost Soul Aside lives up to its name. It’s a very beautiful action game with that ambitious indie‑game charm, though it clearly suffered from its long development cycle—perhaps for reasons beyond the developers’ control. If you’re looking for a story that will tug at your heartstrings, you’ll be a bit disappointed, because the plot here is honestly just okay at best. Perhaps its biggest flaw comes from Sony's attempt at pricing it as a AAA title, which it definitely doesn't live up to that.

Everybody's Golf Hot Shots manages to deliver a very fun and challenging experience, with lots to do and unlock in the process. As a good entry point for newcomers to the franchise and to golf, the game also manages to deliver complexity and challenges for those who seek them. It's a game that seems to translate the sport very well, but also does a good job of turning it into a video game and focusing on fun and user experience in the first place.

Hell is Us reflects on violence and how its political use brings out the worst in people. As much as there are differences between these people, sometimes these differences are radicalized by political and economic interests. And although the game is filled with bizarre creatures that try to kill us all the time, it often asks us: who are the real monsters? What drives us to do things we never imagined we were capable of?
