The original Yakuza Kiwami port for the Switch achieved good results given its hardware limitations, but the superiority of this native Switch 2 version is undeniable. Players will find a great experience worthy of the PlayStation 2 classic, but of course, if you haven't upgraded yet, the previous version is also great.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 makes me believe in ports of the entire series on the Switch due to the use of the current graphics engine, even though this entire multiplatform expansion of the series after being stuck for several years in exclusivity with PlayStation seems like a dream. I believe that the more people who have access to it [the series], the better, and this game is a very good release in the franchise overall, considering its importance in laying the groundwork for titles released later.

Still, my feelings are a bit conflicted, considering the positive surprise presented by the new gameplay segments focused on Escape Rooms. These are good moments, but they don't enhance the narrative as a whole, which in my opinion has always been AI's greatest strength.

With the additional content included, everything gets even better, but the lack of crossplay can get in the way.
