Rhythm Heaven Groove is a great sequel and an easy recommendation for anyone who already enjoys the franchise or wants to check out one of Nintendo's most creative rhythm games. It’s the kind of game that always leaves you feeling like you can play "just one more song."

Between the frenetic battles across various islands in the sky, the heart-pounding action at key moments, and giant monsters that seem impervious to even the most over-the-top attacks, Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok has a lot to offer fans of this specific type of action RPG!

7.5 / 10.0 - Moonlight Peaks
Jul 7, 2026

Moonlight Peaks kicks off with a strong theme: a young woman breaking ties with her father—a powerful vampire—to forge her own identity and live life on her own terms in a new setting, where she meets interesting characters and concepts while growing as a person. It is a classic premise, yet beautiful and well-executed, offering more conflict than other titles in the genre. Unfortunately, the elements that excited me most—the magic systems and the like—get diluted by farming mechanics that have become all too familiar by now. While there is nothing wrong with being another "love letter" to the genre, it is a bit frustrating to see Moonlight Peaks’ massive potential get bogged down by the standard checklist of expectations for a "cozy game."

Since it involves minimal actual gameplay and was created by a single developer, the score is based on the story presented to me—and I was quite pleased with it.

Sonic Frontiers is more than I expected, yet still less than SEGA's longtime mascot deserves. That is not to say the game is bad. The biggest issues here are technical, stemming directly from a lack of polish and the jarring nature of the game's art direction.

Even though this is a new re-release of a title that had already been launched twice before in Japan, there is a lingering sense that the game deserved more polish—an issue that isn't fully resolved even by the Switch 2 version, despite its superior resolution and performance. Still, for those drawn to the premise, the game’s appeal outweighs its flaws, and I really enjoyed getting to know the girls and diving deeper into the gameplay.

10 / 10.0 - Star Fox
Jul 1, 2026

My honest opinion is that Star Fox for the Nintendo Switch 2 is, by far, the best game in the franchise. It features the best gameplay, story, and levels; and while much of this stems from the legendary original game being remade, it is also impossible not to give credit to the talented team at Velan Studios for everything that was recreated, reimagined, and added.

Deathbulge: Battle of the Bands is an incredible indie RPG that manages to present a hilarious, charming world along with an absurdly well-crafted gameplay with all its details. Dynamic and full of strategic elements, the game is a truly special experience in the genre.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land starts the series on Nintendo's new platform in a way that could have been a little better. Atelier Yumia itself is a good game if you enjoy JRPGs, but as an Atelier title, it falls short in many aspects. The game still retains some of the series' DNA, such as charming characters and slice-of-life interactions, but it falters by choosing to put this in the background and focus on a narrative whose potential wasn't fully explored.

9 / 10.0 - Arashi Gaiden
Jun 27, 2026

The gameplay is enjoyable and relies on simple controls; even as the difficulty ramps up across stages, it is clear that success depends on the player improving, rather than the game becoming artificially difficult. Although gameplay is the title's strong suit, there is an unfolding backstory woven in to ensure the frenetic action doesn't become tedious.

9 / 10.0 - Dark Scrolls
Jun 26, 2026

Dark Scrolls isn't the first to do what it does—after all, roguelikes and roguelites don't keep coming out so frequently by accident, even if there are complaints about genre saturation—but it is very well-executed and excels at it. Not to mention that chaotic co-op has become a staple in games famously known for tearing families apart, like Overcooked (it might sound like an exaggeration, but there’s a grain of truth to it).

MAMIYA – A Shared Illusion of the World’s End – is more than just a dark story; it is a prime example of how games can tell unique stories by leveraging the elements of their own medium. While the work certainly has its limitations, it successfully turns them to its advantage, creating a dark, oppressive atmosphere that drives the adventure's mystery.

It’s possible that I’m simply not the target audience for the series. Which is funny, to say the least, considering I’m a huge fan of cyberpunk—and books in general. What initially struck me—and what Citizen Sleeper 2 seems to confirm—is that the series straddles two worlds (gaming and literature) yet lacks the strength to fully realize itself in either. The writing is as weak as Wattpad fiction, and the visual experience is as monotonous as nature sounds meant to cure insomnia.

It is difficult to evaluate my experience with *Rise of the Tomb Raider* in isolation from its predecessor; the two games are very similar, and playing this one reminded me exactly of my experience with the first. Yes, there are improvements—particularly visual ones—but otherwise, it feels like a slightly alternative version of everything I had already seen.

9 / 10.0 - The Drifter
Jun 22, 2026

The Drifter is a thrilling adventure from beginning to end, with an almost flawless pace and a web of mysteries that will make you not want to put down the controller anytime soon. Beyond its overall artistic quality, it's great to see a game of this type respect the console and its specific characteristics so much, creating what could become a foundation for making the Nintendo Switch 2 a great home for point-and-click adventure games.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is a good way to experience Juliet's journey, an excellent option for nostalgic fans of the Xbox 360/PS3 era game design. It's a different approach in a time of megalomania in most productions, and although it's not perfect, I believe it's the viable option at this moment. Perhaps including all the songs would make this port impossible, so let's settle for reality.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is the ideal game for those seeking an experience that doesn't stray too far from the action-adventure standard, but also expands upon it! Its campaign, with approximately 30 hours to complete, is certainly the right length, making it a perfect game for portable play or TV viewing.

7.5 / 10.0 - eFootball Kick-Off!
Jun 14, 2026

For its more affordable price, it certainly becomes a more attractive title for most, and in fact, for those who are more casual fans of the sport itself, it will certainly serve well in the short term. However, for those who are knowledgeable about rosters, teams, and players, some aspects may weigh negatively on this title.

8 / 10.0 - Junkster
Jun 12, 2026

At the end of the day, our experiences are always individual, and this game fulfilled its purpose for me. Perhaps someone with higher expectations or hoping for something more ambitious might find what's delivered here relatively mediocre, but I emphasize that despite appearing to be just another 3D indie platformer, Junkster reveals a concern for the structuring of its levels and challenges that elevate the game to a much more interesting level.

Little Nightmares II is wonderful in its base version, but these Enhanced Edition improvements bring a new freshness to the franchise. I'm just sad that there are so few of them and some are barely noticeable.
