When I first played Resident Evil 5 back in 2009, my enjoyment came from the new way the game played, new enemies, and new environments. Today, however, my enjoyment comes from remembering all the good times I had playing this game back in the day both by myself and with others. While the game still is pretty fantastic, it just does not hold my attention the way it originally did.
Zombie Army Trilogy is a simple game that is a blast to play, at least online with friends. Outside of Evolve, this is the only other game I can think of that makes you play as a team to help complete sections of the game. And blowing a zombies head off from a long distance is just satisfying. The one thing I didn't really care for was the way this game was set up. Horde mode with objectives tends to get boring after a couple of hours. But this also makes it a game that can be played at your own pace. Plus with three games that have five chapters each for only $50, the game is a steal.
[A]fter I spent some time with this game, I truly found myself having a ton of fun and didn't want to stop. Added in with the remixes and my own beats added in to the songs, this game really should not be missed by fans of the genre.
Ryse: Son of Rome was one of the games I was looking forward to for the launch of the Xbox One, and I was a bit disappointed. While the visuals and soundtrack helped in getting me through the game, the repetitive combat and a "been there done that" story made it hard for me to get into it.
