8.5 / 10.0 - Wizordum
Nov 8, 2025

Wizordum is a worthy successor to the ’90s Heretic/Hexen-style shooters. The visuals are pleasing, the level environments are varied, and the music beautifully complements the atmosphere. Another plus is the wide selection of weapons, spells, and gear. The maps are full of traps, hidden rooms, and interactive objects. The levels gradually increase in difficulty, and toward the end, it can be challenging to find your way through the unnecessarily complicated mazes. Quests that require you to search vast environments for switches or other items can sometimes be frustrating. Ultimately, though, Wizordum is a charming throwback to the past that I recommend to all fans of retro games.

7.5 / 10.0 - The Outer Worlds 2
Oct 31, 2025

The Outer Worlds 2 is a more expansive sequel to the space RPG, featuring a more sophisticated combat system. The wide selection of weapons, mods, and gadgets adds excitement to the shootouts. The ability to customize your character using the flaws the game offers you along the way is also a highlight. If you’re in the mood for fun action packed with combat or stealth and enjoy gradually upgrading your hero, you definitely won’t be bored. However, the story and characters lack depth, the ever-present humor sometimes does more harm than good, and the visuals aren’t anything special. The Outer Worlds 2 is enjoyable, but it won’t blow you away.

The Beekeeper’s Picnic may not dazzle with its originality, but it won’t disappoint fans of point-and-click adventure games or Sherlock Holmes books. The retro pixel art suits the game well, as does the relaxing music, which beautifully helps set the atmosphere of a quiet village in the 1920s. The story is simple but well-written, and as you play through it, you’ll encounter a number of characters who are easy to grow fond of. It feels even more lively thanks to the fact that the game is fully voiced, including minor NPCs with whom the player exchanges only a few words. It’s a short, fun game for a single afternoon that might benefit from more content or some slightly trickier puzzles, but in its current form, it’s enjoyable and certainly works well as a tribute to Arthur Conan Doyle.

7.5 / 10.0 - The Book of Aaru
Sep 7, 2025

The Book of Aaru is an entertaining RPG. The monsters and traps are well-designed, but the simplicity of the combat system can start to feel a bit repetitive over time. I wasn’t sold on the way materials are acquired, but the options for gradually developing your character and crafting various new upgrades are well thought out. In short, Amenti Studio has nothing to be ashamed of with this game. It’s not a revolutionary title, but rather a successful homage to classic isometric RPGs. If you’re a fan of the genre who also has a soft spot for ancient Egypt, you can spend many enjoyable hours playing The Book of Aaru.
