Cory Wells's Reviews
Chernobylite offers a deep survival game experience that offers elements of sci-fi, horror and RPG. It's hard to call this a survival horror title, but all the management aspects and the branching storylines will provide fans of the survival genre plenty to enjoy.
While Codemasters seems to have added a good amount of content to F1 2021, it still feels like the same experience at its core.
While the content is short sighted with Chivalry 2, the improvements over its predecessor make it a much better experience.
When Capcom released Resident Evil 7, not only did it reinvent the Resident Evil series, but reinvented mainstream horror games as we know them.
Milestone always seems to put more of an effort into its MotoGP series than the others.
San Diego Studios continue to try and improve an annual product that already has a fantastic core with MLB The Show 21.
Milestone delivers on its slate of upgrades introduced in Monster Energy Supercross 4, but the racing remains frustrating and unapproachable for new players.
Milestone has improved the modes for MXGP 2020 which still offer a good bit of variety outside of just racing the 2020 series tracks.
FIFA 21's next-gen visuals speak for themselves as the player models are absolutely gorgeous.
Borderlands 3 is a no-brainer for those who already own the game to experience what the PlayStation 5 is capable of.
Visual Concepts has maintained the core of how it wants its games to feel with bringing NBA 2K21 to the next generation.
DIRT 5 on PlayStation 5 is the best way to experience Codemasters' new title.
Fans of either F-Zero or Wipeout will undeniably and thoroughly enjoy PACER. The methodology behind this title is the same that you would see in Wipeout as the project began with many of the same people involved in the original games.
NHL 21 has taken the best of what has been offered this generation in the series and sprinkled goodness on top.
FIFA 21 has thrown a lot of adjustments under the hood to help give players more tools than ever before.
While it's nice to have a game based on the television version of The Walking Dead that's enjoyable, this aspect falls short in The Walking Dead Onslaught. While some of the voice acting and the face models are good, the rest feels tacked on.
There's an opportunity to have fun with WWE 2K Battlegrounds. Playing with friends or family who aren't fully up to speed on how wrestling games works should make for an enjoyable experience.
NBA 2K20 was a fun and serious game of basketball to play.
Madden NFL 21 is a mix of missed opportunities.
Despite its downfalls and legacy design issues, I simply cannot put down PGA Tour 2K21. Much like the previous Golf Club title, this is a golf game with smidgen of the PGA Tour tacked on it.
