If you feel like playing an old-style game brought to today’s standards, there are plenty of other games that are more deserving of your money.
Overall, Kirby Fighters 2 is simply a below par fighting game. From mechanics to content, the game is simply a mediocre experience.
Overall, Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise is exactly the game you expected it would be. A largely broken and mechanically mediocre game that manages to somewhat redeem itself thanks to its quirky characters and engaging story. If you’re able to look past the game’s many faults, you’ll certainly find an interesting story to experience. Otherwise, you’re likely to be left totally underwhelmed.
It hurts me to say this, but I simply cannot recommend buying The Outer Worlds’ Switch port at present.
If you’re desperate for a new dungeon crawling RPG, Snack World could potentially scratch that itch, but you’re better off looking elsewhere.
However, unlike its source material, there’s nothing particularly special or engaging here, so unless you’re a massive fan of One Punch Man, I’d suggest looking elsewhere for your anime fighter fix.
With some more technical and balance patches Impact Winter may become worth your money, but right now it should be avoided just like a real apocalyptic situation should be.
Even if you’re a fan of The Crew, I highly suggest just playing the free parts of The Crew: Calling All Units unless you absolutely cannot do without a shiny new police car.
If you’ve been eagerly awaiting more of The Outer Worlds and the Switch is your only choice, then you’ll find something here, but otherwise I’d suggest checking this out on other platforms.
Without any unique selling points or cool trappings and additional content, I can’t recommend buying this collection.
While there aren’t many other action games in this style on the Nintendo Switch yet, there are better games to buy unless you’re wanting a trip down nostalgia lane.
If you’re looking for a fun time looting and shooting, and don’t mind skimping a little on the trappings, than this is definitely worth giving a chance to.
If you’re after a new linear narrative adventure game set in a creepy world to play, you’ll likely enjoy The Medium, but if you’re hoping for a more involved experience, I’d suggest skipping it.
While there are plenty of rough edges and frustrations here, these are all somewhat balanced out by the cost of Bright Memory on Xbox Series X; AU$11.95.
Overall, Battletoads feels like a bit of a relic of the past, which really speaks to how well Dlala have nailed that attitude-era style the 90s is famous for. The story can be humorous (at points) and there’s significantly more of it than I expected, while the variety in gameplay styles and mechanics keeps the experience fresh the whole way through. Unfortunately, that same style and humour does feel dated and grating at points, while the game’s combat sections are also some of its least engaging.
If you’re a fan of cyberpunk games and don’t mind some dodgy combat I’d definitely suggest checking out the game, but otherwise I don’t think this will be the game for you.
In the end, Isle of Armor builds on the foundation of Pokemon Shield’s Wild Area, but there simply isn’t enough to it.
Overall, Mafia II: Definitive Edition is a good-looking upgrade to the original Mafia II, but there are a number of carry over issues that stop it from being great.
Unfortunately, the experience is severely hampered by constant technical issues that leave me with the belief that it was rushed out to release
DAEMON X MACHINA gets a lot right, but at the end of the day, there’s enough wrong here to hold the game back from being great.
