After getting lost playing this game for hours and hours several days and nights in a row I can say that Werewolves Within is one of the best social gaming experiences I’ve ever had. Being in VR it really just further enhances the experience and makes you feel like you really are sitting there in that circle with the other players. The way the game works makes it so the community gets along well and everyone has a better time for it. Yes there are some annoying little bugs here and there and yeah over time it will be harder to find people to play with. For now though It’s a game that I’ll be coming back to over and over just to meet up with some great new random people and have a good time while hopefully catching that werewolf.

9 / 10.0 - Lara Croft Go
Dec 12, 2016

Square Enix Montreal continues to do an excellent job of translating their mobile GO games to console. Lara Croft GO has even better gameplay than Hitman GO did and it’s jam packed with content thanks to the PlayStation exclusive expansion. Lara Croft GO takes some of the best things about the Tomb Raider franchise and turns it into a great puzzle game worthy of anyone’s time.

9 / 10.0 - ICEY
Aug 8, 2017

If you call yourself a fan of fast action games than ICEY is a must play for you. This game wasn't on my radar at all but it is one of the best indie games of 2017 that I've played. Fast, responsive combat mixed with a beautifully drawn world and a narrator who actually speaks to what the player is doing all combine to form a true gem.

2064: Read Only Memories is a game I had my eye on for quite some time and I’m happy that it delivered in the end. I liked how I was able to just sit back and enjoy this wonderful trip into a futuristic San Francisco without having to grow frustrated or get stuck. The story and interesting cast of characters kept me hooked all the way through and the visuals and sound design did nothing but make the experience that much better.

9 / 10.0 - Linelight
Feb 10, 2017

Linelight doesn't bring anything new to the puzzle genre necessarily but it does just about everything perfectly. It's got great puzzle design that gives you a rewarding feeling when you overcome its obstacles and unlock that next world. It's got such a relaxing soundtrack and visual style that will help relieve you of any stress you might be under.

Out of Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle, and Full Throttle I think Full Throttle Remastered is my favorite of these classic LucasArts games. Everything here is so good even all these years later whether it be the story, characters, soundtrack or setting. Even in 2017 I think it is one of the best point and click adventure games you can possibly play. Fans of this genre would be doing themselves a disservice if they don't go on this motorcycle ride with Ben.

I was blown away by Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and it now stands as probably my second favorite Uncharted game just behind Uncharted 2. Chloe shines brilliantly here and is backed up by some strong supporting characters. The production values here are nothing short of impressive either especially for the asking price.

9 / 10.0 - Overcooked 2
Aug 7, 2018

Overcooked 2 just gives all of us fans of the original game more which is all you can really ask for from a game that already did so much right. So invite a friend over on the couch or team up with some online in order to save the Onion Kingdom once again in this must play multiplayer experience.

9 / 10.0 - The Persistence
Jul 24, 2018

The Persistence isn't anything original but everything it set out to do it pretty much nails. While I wasn't drawn to the story so much the combat and constant variety of new ship layouts kept me engrossed and saying I'll give it one more run. It's a tense, unnerving and action packed romp aboard The Persistence and any fan of horror owes it to themselves to give it a go.

Despite the criticisms I have with Firewall Zero Hour currently, they don't take away from just how magical this VR shooter is. I feel like this is the best reason to own a PlayStation VR headset yet as it really shows how pre-established genres can be given new life in ways not possible while playing on a traditional screen. I love the community this game has already built and I'll be staying apart of it for the foreseeable future. Go buy a PlayStation VR, buy an Aim Controller, and buy Firewall Zero Hour because it's too darn good to miss out on.

Assault Android Cactus+ is arguably the best version of the game that you can play. Sure it doesn’t look quite as sharp as it does on the other platforms but it still looks good and more importantly runs just as well. It still is one of the most fun twin-stick shooters I’ve played even three years after I first played it.

The gripping mature storytelling, atmosphere, beautiful and horrifying environments, and the bond between Amicia and Hugo make A Plague Tale one of the best games of 2019 and simply should not be missed.

9 / 10.0 - Ghost Giant
Apr 22, 2019

I think the most impressive thing about Ghost Giant to me is that this is Zoink Games first swing at making a VR game and they hit it out of the park on the first try. The narrative here is very strong and many of the scenes in the game hit me on an emotional level.

The wait for Uchikoshi’s next game was well worth it as AI: The Somnium Files delivers a fantastic murder mystery storyline. It’s dark, serious, and horrific yet also funny and charming at times too.

9 / 10.0 - Worse Than Death
Oct 31, 2019

There really isn’t much more I can say about Worse Than Death other then that you should pick it up if you enjoy horror games. It has a very appealing price point and you can enjoy it’s horrific pixel art world and story in just a few hours.

Overall I came away from Atelier Ryza very impressed and I think longtime fans and newcomers will be very happy with this game. The change to a more real-time combat system is good choice to me as it made battles far more engaging. Likewise some of the changes to the alchemy system make it more approachable to series newcomers while still having depth for those who are into this franchise. The graphics are beautiful and the story was satisfying despite taking a bit to get going. A few things here and there can be improved but overall this is an excellent new entry in this long running JRPG series.

As a fan of character action games such as these I can’t recommend the Bayonetta and Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle enough. Both games still look good even a decade later and performance wise they’ve never been better especially on the PlayStation platform.
