Zer0 Sum tells the best story and introduces the best characters in the Borderlands series. As a Telltale game, the humor tends to fall a bit flat at times, and it lacks the drama Telltale do so well.

7 / 10.0 - Outlast
Dec 26, 2014

Outlast is scary and will make you feel fear. It doesn't do much more than that, but if horror is what you're looking for, you won't do much better than this.

Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby don't break the mold, but as remakes they improve the experience in every way.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is a very impressive prologue to The Phantom Pain. It's short, but it makes up for it with a shocking ending, beautiful graphics, polished gameplay and lots of replay value.

6.8 / 10.0 - Shovel Knight
Dec 19, 2014

Shovel Knight was fun for a while, but it didn't do enough to keep my interest the whole way through. A very good old school platformer that doesn't do enough to earn a place in modern gaming. If you're feeling particularly nostalgic, go ahead, otherwise you might want to play something a bit more ambitious.

Neverending Nightmares has a promising concept that drew me in, but the story is shallow and the focus is more on disturbing gore than psychological horror. Forgettable, average and hard to recommend to anyone.

Iron From Ice is a spectacular start to the series and if it keeps up this pace, will prove to be one of Telltale's best games.

Inquisition is everything I want from an RPG and more. Unfortunately the more is countless hours tedious collectibles and fetch quests. Still, it's the most ambitious Bioware game yet, offering an action packed main quest of around thirty hours, a beautiful world to explore and interesting characters to meet. This comes highly recommended and should be an instant purchase for anyone with the time to spare.
