6 / 10 - Dreamals
May 10, 2016

Dreamals is a surprisingly fun and addictive head-scratching platformer, riddled with puzzles that will keep the players captivated for the length of its eighty levels. It falls short of expectations on its visual and sound environments, nevertheless, as it could certainly use a more stable framerate and a more varied soundtrack, not to mention some interaction with the Wii U GamePad but fans of puzzling platformers will find reasons to enjoy Dreamals.

Little Town Hero may be an RPG but its most relevant and memorable aspect is not the plot or even the development, it's the combat system - original, interesting and challenging, Little Town Hero mostly lives for its combats. It doesn't stretch the game's soul much further than this, though, as the experience is too short, the plot feels too common and uninspired and the overall game could have been much more ambitious. There's enough here to captivate fans of JRPG games but to expand beyond that, Little Town Hero needs to improve on several key aspects.

Just Dance 2020 does not differ from other games in the series in the sense that it's fun, enjoyable and has enough content and music for many intense moments. At the same time, Just Dance 2020 is too similar to its immediate predecessors to stand out and beyond a small number of new elements, there are not too many reasons to purchase this latest edition of the Just Dance series for those who own the last titles released on the Nintendo Switch.

In single-player mode, Shadow Puppeteer is a much weaker game, technical issues and control problems become more evident and it's not challenging enough to justify a new go. Despite being based on several good ideas, Shadow Puppeteer performs way below its potential.

5 / 10 - Discovery
Mar 16, 2016

While Discovery boasts an enormous map and plenty of available resources, it suffers from a lack of originality and pales next to Minecraft. The game is also affected by several technical flaws and the lack of an online mode makes it less appealing, despite a competent local co-op multiplayer and an overall good presentation.

5 / 10 - Space Hulk
Feb 29, 2016

Space Hulk is presented as a videogame version of the board game that carries the same name, which is both a blessing and a curse. If its campaign mode can offer a long experience and the Wii U's GamePad is adequately used to interact with the game, its shallow gameplay does not captivate those looking for a good strategy game.

5 / 10 - Tetraminos
Nov 10, 2016

While it doesn't really innovate or go beyond the limits of the original's gameplay, it works well enough and its local multiplayer will provide some hours of fun. Pity that it doesn't have anything else to stand for itself and that the lack of online modes as well as its long loading times make this a less fun game than it could.

5 / 10 - Drancia Saga
Aug 7, 2017

Drancia Saga is simple, fun and accessible, featuring an 8-bit style visual environment and some well implemented RPG elements. If only the same could be said for the overall quality of the conversion to the 3DS, its use of the console's capacities, lifespan and its price tag, compared to the lack of it in the original mobile format, this would be a highly recommended game.

Sweetest Thing is clearly a game designed for the mobile market which unfortunately did not receive a proper conversion treatment when ported to the Wii U. As such, there are several gameplay aspects which, as adequate as they may be for a mobile system, just do not fit in with the Wii U, beyond its short lifespan and repetitive nature.

Shadow of Loot Box is based on an interesting premise that intends to satirize some questionable elements of the contemporary games industry. The problem is this idea does not quite come to fruition and after a promising opening stage, the experience quickly comes down to a dull, over-simplistic, underperforming gameplay and in the end, this FPS with RPG elements turns out to be a rather lacklustre effort with few attractive points.

While using easily recognizable characters from popular cartoon series can prove to be a successful formula, it's hard to see how that will benefit Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers. Its gameplay has virtually no points that stand out from an overall feeling of mediocrity and the lack of features of this title only make the selling price seem even more disproportionate for what is a game that offers no redeeming factors.
