Into The Breach may not be a groundbreaking new incursion in the world of turn-based strategy games but it's certainly a competent effort, even if orthodox at that. A very challenging game with good gameplay mechanics and a variety of levels, Into The Breach could just use a more elaborate plot and some more tutorials to score a few extra points with the players.

de Blob 2 makes its premiere on the Nintendo Switch and it arrives as a 3D action platformer that features a simple and accessible gameplay that is certain to catch the eye of less experienced players. If its simplicity means that De Blob 2 is easy to grasp, it will also leave out those players looking for something more challenging, as the game quickly becomes too repetitive and its level of challenge is simply not up to what most players are looking for.

The Escapists: Complete Edition is an action game that can boast about its lifespan and very challenging difficulty level. It does less well on other factors and it can feel very frustrating at times, aggravated by the lack of some assistance guides and overall repetition of contents. This Complete Edition ends up feeling below the level demonstrated by other games in The Escapist series already available for the Nintendo Switch.

The Wardrobe is another contribution towards the growing catalogue of indie games on the Nintendo Switch and what it can be said of this point and click adventure is that it's simple and features a visual style that is easy to like. Where The Wardrobe disappoints, however, is when it comes to the player's immersion into the experience. The plot also feels like it serves no purpose too soon after starting the game and overall, this ends up harming the experience which feels rather incomplete.

FOX n FORESTS brings a classic 16-bit platformer environment to the Nintendo Switch with a very good audiovisual environment and an interesting gameplay mechanic when it comes to changing weather seasons. The experience ends up getting harmed by controls that feel too heavy at times and the repetitiveness that is imposed on the player to finish the level goes too far, making this a too short adventure for its own good.

Shift Quantum is a puzzle game that draws its quality from a simple, yet addictive game design. Thanks to its polarity structure and to its well-designed levels and balanced difficulty, Shift Quantum is a fine element in the Nintendo Switch catalogue, even if it could certainly benefit from a longer lifespan and perhaps an additional layer of complexity.

Iro Hero feels more like a tribute to old-school 2D shoot'em ups than a contemporary game on its own. Its gameplay mechanics are indeed able to provide a good experience but the game is much more catered towards experienced players who are looking for a very hardcore experience, rather than general members of the audience who could be potentially interested in a 2D shoot'em up.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus lands on the Nintendo Switch and while it does not look its best, the newfound handheld function adds a whole new layer to the experience. Thanks to its good and enjoyable campaign mode and amazing game environment, this is one very recommended piece of work for any FPS fans out there with a Switch.

Yoku's Island Express packs just enough to be a fun and simple 2D platformer with a delightful pinball component to make it standout amidst all the recent incursions of the Metroidvania style. Ikaruga has a reputation that is known well enough in the shoot'em up genre: its gameplay mechanic and difficulty level helped it build its name and now, Nintendo Switch players have the chance to enjoy this classic. While it does not add anything new to the original, Ikaruga on the Nintendo Switch expands the game's audience further and allows players on the new Nintendo console to get their hands on this merciless work, which might prove too frustrating for those not used to this level of challenge.

Raging Justice wants to rise to the level of classic beat'em ups by attempting a recognizable gameplay with a modern outlook. While it succeeds at stirring up the nostalgia factor, the game presents very little in terms of innovation. Unfortunately its gameplay is hardly at the level of the games Raging Justice looks up to, and its rather short lifespan and uninteresting levels make this a passable effort that does not reach the heights of some of the biggest names of the beat'em up genre.

Animated Jigsaw: Beautiful Japanese Scenery features some interesting puzzle challenges...and that's about it. This experience is short and while competent, it brings nothing that does not exist already in other forms. To make things more difficult, moving the pieces around can turn into a frustrating experience, which is not something that should happen in a game where moving the pieces is the main action.

Outlast 2 brings another horror-themed game to the Nintendo Switch catalog and while its ambiance, soundscape and plot are definitely worth checking out, the game doesn't quite rise above its predecessor in terms of overall quality. This is not to say Outlast 2 is not worthy of consideration, as its contribution to the Nintendo Switch is most definitely welcome but it's inevitable to compare it to the original and to think that it doesn't quite achieve its level.

Layers of Fear Legacy is a rather interesting horror-themed adventure that features some appealing puzzles and mostly, a visual environment that accurately portrays what the game wants to transmit. In the end, it doesn't fully immerse the player in its horror theme, which means it falls a few notches below the threshold it should reach, not to mention that it starts losing charm after some time.

Outlast: Bundle of Terror is a marvelous contribution to the Nintendo Switch catalog which represents a very welcome addition in the field of horror games with its well-crafted atmosphere and plot. While Poisoft Thud Card is a simple, easy to grasp and clean-looking card game, its simplicity quickly becomes synonymous with emptiness and boredom. The game gets dull quite quickly and all the fun it could provide to the players runs out in a matter of minutes, making this a game that would not be recommended for most players looking for a good time.

Mad Carnage is a tactical action game in a cartoonish visual style which can be entertaining for a while but quickly starts feeling repetitive as it is way too similar to other proposals in the same genre. Tachyon Project features an enjoyable, fluid gameplay that despite not bringing anything new, will still please 2D twin-stick shoot'em up fans. Not all is glorious, though, and Tachyon Project has a very frustrating difficulty level - too frustrating for its own good - and its levels end up looking a lot like each other, which ends up harming this game more than it should.
