Call of Duty WWII is an excellent return to form from a series that has jumped the shark. CoD in space was a ridiculous diversion that pulled focus away from the core of the franchise. Call of Duty WWII puts the attention squarely on the strength of the gameplay and the bravery of men who fought for the freedom of the world.
Even though Fire Emblem Warriors is filled with great characters and Fire Emblem elements, it's more Warriors than it is Fire Emblem.
Amongst the like of Super Mario Odyssey, Yooka-Laylee, Sonic Mania, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and even Cuphead, Super Lucky's Tale trails far behind. If you only own an Xbox One and are desperate for some platforming, then you'll have a decent time with Super Lucky's Tale
Super Mario Odyssey is a once-in-a-generation game and every self-respecting gamer should sit back and enjoy it. Nintendo has outdone itself yet again and we're the lucky ones who get to reap the benefits.
Unfortunately, while Shadow of War is a decent enough game, it never manages to capture what made the original so special. Bigger isn't always better and in Shadow of War's case its doubly true.

This remake is more than a straight port and it’s more than a standard remake. It’s a pretty big overhaul of an already very well put together game.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is an idea that has paid off big time. It’s a game that a lesser company would have avoided, but both Nintendo and Ubisoft have taken a risk and I’m frankly glad they did.
Miitopia definitely has its charms and it’s a perfectly designed game for commuting. It’s not something you can sit down and play for hours on end though.
Aside from Mario Kart 8, Splatoon 2 is the best multiplayer available on Switch right now. There’s absolutely no reason not to own it if you own a Switch. And if you don’t, you’re seriously missing out.
Yakuza is a niche series and it’s definitely an acquired taste, but if it hooks you it’s unlikely to ever let you go.
I had a great time with ARMS, but I can’t shake the feeling that it’s not quite there yet.
