As a Games as a Service offering featuring cinema's hot new franchise this is a bit of a letdown, not because of a lack of spirit or ideas, but because of a lack of polish and direction.

A plot , dialog and character driven experience just like the original, but it's a slight step backwards where every aspect feels rushed, but it still is an enjoyable and unique experience for those willing to overlook its flaws.

The island of Tsushima is the star of the game, with its variety and beauty, and myriad of secrets and stories. Coupled with all the interlocking systems and varied options, though making the game somewhat bloated, makes this one of the most well rounded experiences I've experienced.

This still a great game in its presentation and gameplay and wealth of content and a great choice for newcomers, but for existing owners the Aftermath expansion might seem a bit light in content compared to the asking price.

A game that is both alluring and infuriating at the same time, brimming with energy and creativity and bogged down with finicky controls and a busy interface. As a remaster it doesn't go enough, but for those willing to put up with its shortcoming it offers some of the most epic and innovative moments in any game.

The plot and battle system might be simplistic, but it does its job in giving the game a driving force. This is an overall engrossing experience and the closest thing to playing an anime.
