عصام الشهوان
A full priced love letter that excels both as a rhythm game featuring some of the most iconic videogame music ever as well as a comprehensive distillation of an incomprehensible series. You don't even need to have played the series to enjoy this; the music is that good.

An enhanced version of the best hack 'n slash game on the market, with some nice additions that don't necessarily elevate the experience but do enhance it. The only missed opportunity is playable Trish & Lady.

Classic Tetris with the audio/visual touches we're used to from Lumines developer Mizuguchi. Tetris in its most gorgeous form now with comprehensive multiplayer nodes but unfortunately VR support was lost along the way.

A brilliant reinvention of the series that still manages to faithfully capture its essence, with an eclectic cast of characters, the star being Ichiban himself. A great entry that goes toe-to-toe with Yakuza 0.

A decent return to the series even if it doesn't push the series in any way forward. Technically and mechanically flawed but the world and story with its twists and turns is what makes it worth trying.

A fun, brief adventure that draws on the genres strengths but doesn't really reach the heights of the developer's Until Dawn, never mind surpass it.

A beautiful and ambitious rich experience, one that could carry a wole anime franchise on its own. The story is not without its fault, but few games even attempt what this game has managed to achieve.

A unique game still without peer 20+ years after release, with its only signs of age coming from some obtuseness and lack of modern quality of life features, bit aesthetically it's still pleasing and brimming with ideas and soul.

As a Games as a Service offering featuring cinema's hot new franchise this is a bit of a letdown, not because of a lack of spirit or ideas, but because of a lack of polish and direction.

A disappointing remaster that removes more than it adds, but this is still a charming and fun game, even if its sheen has been dulled.

A new direction for the series, one that plays well and is rich in content, but lacks the polish or personality of the best in the genre.

A plot , dialog and character driven experience just like the original, but it's a slight step backwards where every aspect feels rushed, but it still is an enjoyable and unique experience for those willing to overlook its flaws.

The island of Tsushima is the star of the game, with its variety and beauty, and myriad of secrets and stories. Coupled with all the interlocking systems and varied options, though making the game somewhat bloated, makes this one of the most well rounded experiences I've experienced.

A charming and varied version of one the most addictive puzzlers around, and an ok remaster of the best entry in the series.

This still a great game in its presentation and gameplay and wealth of content and a great choice for newcomers, but for existing owners the Aftermath expansion might seem a bit light in content compared to the asking price.

A game that is both alluring and infuriating at the same time, brimming with energy and creativity and bogged down with finicky controls and a busy interface. As a remaster it doesn't go enough, but for those willing to put up with its shortcoming it offers some of the most epic and innovative moments in any game.

The plot and battle system might be simplistic, but it does its job in giving the game a driving force. This is an overall engrossing experience and the closest thing to playing an anime.

A game that makes up for its relatively low budget by having a lot of soul and an enchanting world coupled with an engaging battle system. A clear improvement over the Secret of Mana remake.

Even with it being merely more of the same, the same in question is still one of the best designed and most satisfying puzzle games

Taken as a new game based on the PS1 Classic, building and improving on some of its aspects while drastically changing others, this is a beautiful game with a great battle system and some of the best character development ever, but its structure falters somewhat at times.
