After a couple of mediocre titles, Platinum Games are back – and they're better than ever. Nier: Automata is an almost perfect action game, with an interesting story and fluid gameplay. A must have for anyone that looking for a challenging action game.

After last year’s largely disappointing entry Codemasters amends almost all of the game’s faults with F1 2016. With a great sense of speed and a plethora of options and game modes F1 2016 is one of the most engaging racing experiences ever made.

If you are planning to play Metroid Prime: Federation Force alone or even online it leaves a lot to wish for. However, with three friends playing together in the same room it can be pretty great. Just do not expect much of a “Metroid” experience.

Gears of War 4 have pretty much the same mechanics that we are used of. It sure is entertaining, but at the same time a little too safe. Overall though, it’s still a great game that every Gears of War fan probably will enjoy.

Mafia 3 is the definition of a mixed bag. At times it is a great experience with a compelling story, interesting characters and an exciting world to discover. But after a few hours the game falls into a repetitive grind with the same type of mission over and over again. It is still an okay game, but it could have been so much more.

Dragon Quest Builders is a splendid fusion between Minecraft and Dragon Quest. Instead of just roaming a huge world at your own will, you will always have a (mostly) clear goal to work towards and townspeople to pamper. There is still plenty of room for making your own creations, even though it is not on the same grand scale as Minecraft.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is a somewhat odd addition to the Call of Duty franchise. The online multiplayer does not offer any notable improvements, and the zombie mode is a fun romp but nothing more. On the other hand, the game offers an impressive single player campaign that feels fresh and interesting. If you want a great sci-fi game this is the one to get.

Gravity Rush 2 is a colorful, cheerful and action packed adventure that does not look nor play like anything else. The camera and controls will take some time to get used to and may annoy at times, but overall Gravity Rush 2 is a very polished and enjoyable experience.

With an outstanding combat system For Honor offers a unique take on medieval action games. The combat truly excels against other players online and it is apparent that the online mode is where your time should be spent. Offline players, however, will not find much to do except hammering around in a repetitive story mode.

We have waited for eight years, and luckily Persona 5 doesn't let us down. It's a beautiful rpg with the same deep mechanics, and story telling that we are used to when it comes to this series. Another masterpiece from Atlus.

Injustice 2 is easy to fall in love with. The super hero theme is as fun as the first installment, and everything else just seem better – including the online mode and the single player campaign.

Wipeout Omega Collection is one of the best racing games this year, and probably the best collection of a Playstation classic we have seen.

Dirt Rally was easily the best rally game we had in years, but sadly Dirt 4 is a bit of a let down. The graphics may be stunningly beautiful, but the gameplay isn't nearly as fun as in Dirt Rally. A good rally game, but far from perfect.

The Morrowind expansion to Elder Scrolls Online can be described as ”more of the same”. It's a huge island, filled with stuff to to and with tons of new features. The combat system still is in need of an update, though.

Fans of Crash Bandicoot haven't had the best of luck in recent years. In fact, the last good game with the iconic platform hero was the Chrash Bandicoot 3: Warped for the first Playstation. This remaster includes the first three games, and adding shiny new graphics along with several improvements. A must-buy if you loved the series back in the 90's.

Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs is a almost perfect rpg for newcomers – as it's easy to get into but challenging enough to keep you going. The hand-written graphics is beautiful and the setting is charming. On the negative side we have the combat system, that feels a bit shallow.

Aside from some graphical issues F1 2017 really impresses. The racing is as brilliant as ever – with endless possibilities to create your own F1 experience. An improvement over last years installment in every way.

Knack 2 is far from a perfect game. The level design is sometimes a mess and the graphics looks dated. Despite that, the game manage to be fun, especially if you play together with your kid.
