While the storyline concluding Diablo IV and Vessel of Hatred might not satisfy every fan's narrative expectations, Lord of Hatred compensates by making extraordinary strides in its moment-to-moment gameplay. The overhaul to skill customization grants players far deeper build autonomy, transforming character progression into one of the most flexible and finely tuned design systems in modern action RPGs. When viewed as a cohesive whole, Diablo IV and its expansion arc deliver a rich, deeply engaging experience that firmly cements itself as an essential play for any fan of the genre.

In terms of narration, The Surge really fails to reach the heights of Dark Souls series, but nevertheless it is a deep, challenging and fun SCI-FI Action RPG.
