Despite its name, Survival Kids on the Nintendo Switch 2 is a calm, colorful experience with little real survival pressure. Its gameplay revolves around gathering resources, cooking, managing stamina, and solving small puzzles, all of which reinforce a light sense of adventure across the game’s isometric island environments. While new mechanics like crafting a fishing hook or brief platforming segments add some variety, the game starts to feel a bit repetitive after a few hours. The $50 price tag feels steep for something this straightforward, but its local and online multiplayer modes offer a cheerful, family-friendly experience.

Whether you enjoy Black Ops 7 largely depends on what you expect from a first-person shooter. If you’re mainly looking for a strong story campaign, the new Call of Duty is genuinely disappointing—even with the addition of co-op. But if you return to the series every year for its multiplayer and Zombies modes, Black Ops 7 delivers a fun experience with excellent gunplay, solid maps, and an exciting Zombies mode. Still, the changes in these modes aren’t substantial enough compared to the previous entry to justify a full-price purchase. So, if you’re a Game Pass subscriber, Black Ops 7 is definitely worth downloading. For other platforms, though, it might be wiser to wait until future seasons add more content or to pick it up during a good discount.

Goodnight Universe delivers a cozy, heartwarming experience built on unusual ideas, bittersweet themes, and a genuinely charming narrative. The console version may not offer the strongest mechanics or the most polished interactive systems, but it at least strives to leave its mark as a distinctive and memorable adventure.

News Tower leverages smart design, meticulous detail, and a strong commitment to the feel of classic journalism to deliver one of the most engaging management experiences in recent years. While it does suffer from a few issues—such as a somewhat shallow narrative and a lack of clarity in certain systems—the game’s ability to recreate the real challenges of running a newspaper, along with its wide variety of tools, flexible office-building options, and group decision-making mechanics, is hard to overlook. As someone who deals with the real, day-to-day pressures of working in media, News Tower felt not just entertaining, but familiar, inspiring, and at times genuinely demanding. It’s a game I can easily see myself returning to after work for a long time.

Tales of Xillia Remastered, despite its shortcomings, remains a valuable work. It’s a remaster that chooses to honor nostalgia and authenticity rather than rebuild everything from scratch — a decision that some players may truly appreciate. With its precise gameplay, philosophical storytelling, and memorable soundtrack, the game still manages to engage modern audiences and remind us that some worlds, even as time passes, remain worth living in.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 can be seen as a more complete and mature realization of the idea Frontier introduced years ago. By combining deep management systems, stunning visuals, and an impressive variety of dinosaurs, it delivers an experience that’s both entertaining and often awe-inspiring. If you’re looking for a simulation where you can spend hours interacting with dinosaurs, designing habitats, and building your dream park, Evolution 3 is a brilliant choice that you definitely shouldn’t miss.

The Outer Worlds 2 is a collection of familiar RPG tropes and structures, yet Obsidian’s craftsmanship turns them into something remarkably polished and entertaining. In a world without giants like Mass Effect, The Elder Scrolls, or Deus Ex, it might have been hailed as a timeless masterpiece. Even so, by reimagining those established formulas without excessive ambition or pretense, Obsidian delivers a genuinely enjoyable and worthwhile experience — one I can easily recommend to any fan of the role-playing genre.

The Japanese art of Kintsugi (金継ぎ) — the practice of repairing broken pottery with precious metals like gold — celebrates the very nature of imperfection. Cracks, flaws, and the visible seams where fragments are joined don’t detract from beauty; they enhance it. In much the same way, as reflected in the ghostly mask motif, Ghost of Yotei achieves what its creators intended by embracing a similar artistic philosophy — one shared by some of the finest open-world games. In the grand experience of playing, what matters isn’t how each individual system — from puzzle design to optional side tasks — holds up under isolated scrutiny. What matters is how every element, from the guiding trails of smoke on the horizon to the bosses that make your blood boil, ultimately comes together to offer something greater: hours of breathing in another world, set in a time far removed from our own — through a tale of bloody revenge, captivating adventure, and a meaningful cultural and historical reflection.

The new Katamari has returned in the best possible way. The new features and the variety of missions add great layers to the gameplay, and the inclusion of different time periods brings an interesting twist compared to the past. There are a few minor shortcomings that slightly affect the experience, but they’re not enough to disrupt the overall flow of the game. Once Upon a Katamari offers an enjoyable experience for both newcomers and longtime fans, marking another success for the series.

Before Battlefield 6 was released, many were eager to see how it would stack up against Call of Duty. But the truth is, EA’s new entry isn’t trying to outdo its rival as much as it’s trying to recapture the authentic, large-scale experience that defines Battlefield — and that’s easily its biggest strength. The campaign mode doesn’t particularly shine and can feel a bit underwhelming at times. Still, once you jump into a single multiplayer match, those shortcomings fade away. In multiplayer, hours of intense, large-scale battles await you — especially when you’re fighting alongside a well-coordinated squad. The game delivers moments of chaos and excitement you won’t find anywhere else. So if your main goal in buying Battlefield 6 is to enjoy its online experience, you can dive in with confidence. The developers once again prove their mastery at crafting thrilling, expansive warzones — and Battlefield 6 is more than capable of keeping you engaged and exhilarated for a long time.

Overall, Little Nightmares III is another worthy entry in this beloved series. The two new protagonists share great chemistry, and the story told through their journey is absolutely worth following. From a gameplay perspective, the game stays true to the series’ established standards while deepening the sense of fear and introducing co-op play — a welcome addition, even if its limitations slightly impact the solo experience. If you enjoyed the previous Little Nightmares games, you’ll almost certainly have a great time with the third installment — especially if you play it alongside a friend.

However, weaknesses in the gameplay, and especially the combat system, prevent Silent Hill f from reaching its full potential and appearing beyond a merely good experience.

Bandai Namco intended Digimon Story Time Stranger to be both a welcoming entry point for newcomers and an enjoyable experience for long-time fans. After playing the game, it’s fair to say the studio has largely succeeded: the improved combat system, a twist-filled storyline, and the journey across the human and Digimon worlds make for a solid outcome. However, the outdated graphics and the weak, repetitive level design stand out as the game’s biggest shortcomings.

If you're just looking for a 2D action platformer experience that you can play once and enjoy, Shinobi New is for you. But if you grew up with this game and are a fan of the action platformer genre, you might forget about it a week after Art of Vengeance. While the combat and platforming are new and, ironically, enjoyable, they take away Shinobi's identity.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is a landmark moment in the history of the Metroidvania genre; a full-fledged "sequel" that not only reminded its audience of what to expect from a sequel, but also put many of the re-releases that are released in the name of sequels to shame.

To truly enjoy Dawn of War – Definitive Edition, it’s essential to keep expectations grounded, bearing in mind that this is a game released more than 20 years after the original. Relic has limited the remaster’s improvements to higher resolutions and compatibility with modern systems, which makes for an acceptable experience but not one that meets the standards of today’s strategy titles. As such, the game is best recommended for those who played the original and now, thanks to minor upgrades and the inclusion of a complete, valuable package of all previously released content, want to relive their memories. If you belong to this group, Dawn of War – Definitive Edition is definitely worth experiencing. But if you approach it expecting a brand-new modern RTS, you’ll likely be disappointed.

Overall, Bloober Team proves with Cronos: The New Dawn that it has reached a solid level of maturity in crafting horror experiences—even without relying on a big name like Silent Hill. The game’s relatively slow-paced storytelling may not appeal to everyone, but patient players will find themselves rewarded with a gripping narrative. Similarly, the gameplay blends the best elements of survival horror with creative ideas—such as enemies merging into new threats—and only really falls short in its somewhat underwhelming puzzles. On the technical side, top-notch visuals, excellent sound design, and masterful atmosphere-building deliver a genuinely terrifying experience, despite occasional frame drops. For horror fans, Cronos is easily one of the best choices available right now—and one you definitely shouldn’t miss.

Super Robot Wars Y is the latest entry in the series and once again succeeds in satisfying its players. Its engaging gameplay and story, along with the variety of series and characters featured, stand out as major strengths. However, issues such as a clunky user interface and the repeated use of animations detract from the overall experience. While the game might feel a bit confusing for newcomers to the franchise, it still remains a solid choice for fans of the mecha genre.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater marks an impressive return for the series. Playing it once again highlights why Hideo Kojima was able to craft one of gaming’s true masterpieces and push the medium forward in so many ways. Rather than a full reimagining, Metal Gear Solid Delta is best described as a graphical overhaul of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3D. That said, the game isn’t without flaws. Performance issues, unnecessary simplifications, and the lack of meaningful additions to justify the “remake” label hold it back from true greatness. Even so, Metal Gear Solid Delta remains a high-quality stealth-action title that I’d have no hesitation recommending.
