To truly enjoy Dawn of War – Definitive Edition, it’s essential to keep expectations grounded, bearing in mind that this is a game released more than 20 years after the original. Relic has limited the remaster’s improvements to higher resolutions and compatibility with modern systems, which makes for an acceptable experience but not one that meets the standards of today’s strategy titles. As such, the game is best recommended for those who played the original and now, thanks to minor upgrades and the inclusion of a complete, valuable package of all previously released content, want to relive their memories. If you belong to this group, Dawn of War – Definitive Edition is definitely worth experiencing. But if you approach it expecting a brand-new modern RTS, you’ll likely be disappointed.

Overall, Bloober Team proves with Cronos: The New Dawn that it has reached a solid level of maturity in crafting horror experiences—even without relying on a big name like Silent Hill. The game’s relatively slow-paced storytelling may not appeal to everyone, but patient players will find themselves rewarded with a gripping narrative. Similarly, the gameplay blends the best elements of survival horror with creative ideas—such as enemies merging into new threats—and only really falls short in its somewhat underwhelming puzzles. On the technical side, top-notch visuals, excellent sound design, and masterful atmosphere-building deliver a genuinely terrifying experience, despite occasional frame drops. For horror fans, Cronos is easily one of the best choices available right now—and one you definitely shouldn’t miss.

Super Robot Wars Y is the latest entry in the series and once again succeeds in satisfying its players. Its engaging gameplay and story, along with the variety of series and characters featured, stand out as major strengths. However, issues such as a clunky user interface and the repeated use of animations detract from the overall experience. While the game might feel a bit confusing for newcomers to the franchise, it still remains a solid choice for fans of the mecha genre.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater marks an impressive return for the series. Playing it once again highlights why Hideo Kojima was able to craft one of gaming’s true masterpieces and push the medium forward in so many ways. Rather than a full reimagining, Metal Gear Solid Delta is best described as a graphical overhaul of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3D. That said, the game isn’t without flaws. Performance issues, unnecessary simplifications, and the lack of meaningful additions to justify the “remake” label hold it back from true greatness. Even so, Metal Gear Solid Delta remains a high-quality stealth-action title that I’d have no hesitation recommending.

Overall, Heretic + Hexen is a highly valuable collection for a couple of types of players. First, those who experienced the original releases back in the day can now revisit these classics in a complete package on modern systems or consoles and enjoy a wave of nostalgia. Second, fans of classic shooters like Doom who never had the chance to try Heretic and Hexen when they first came out. For these players too, thanks to the exciting combat, well-designed levels, and excellent music, the games still offer hours of pure fun. So, if you fall into either of these groups, Heretic + Hexen—with its fair price and high content value—is one of the best gaming experiences you can pick up right now, and one I strongly recommend not missing.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a well-crafted Soulslike that combines interesting ideas with some of the genre’s tried-and-true formulas to deliver around 50 hours of solid entertainment. If you're looking for an experience filled with intense boss fights and a vast world to explore, don’t pass this one up. It’s a perfect adventure to dive into during these hot summer days.

Overall, while Shadow Labyrinth doesn’t quite rank among the top-tier Metroidvania games of recent years, it’s definitely worth experiencing at least once. The game offers a good variety of core mechanics, fun character-switching between different creatures, some well-designed boss fights, and diverse environments. However, these strengths are somewhat overshadowed by flaws like inconsistent difficulty balancing, occasionally stiff and clunky combat, and graphics that fall short of expectations.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is everything its fans have been asking for—a soothing, human, and immersive experience set in a world they can't find anywhere else. Hideo Kojima is still at his peak, and he shouldn't be slowing down now.

Karma: The Dark World does a great job of keeping players on the edge of their seat with its immersive atmosphere, intriguing plot twists, melancholic soundtrack, and the addition of a few unique gameplay mechanics throughout the experience. While not every moment hits a high note—and the noticeable dip in quality toward the final act leaves a bittersweet aftertaste—the game's wild and intense journey is undeniably worth experiencing.

The Alters is undoubtedly one of this year’s best indie games. The creators of Frostpunk at 11 bit studios once again showcase their mastery of crafting fluid narrative frameworks—what you might call "narrative sandbox" experiences—and their knack for challenging players’ moral boundaries. While The Alters might not break new ground in its survival-driven gameplay, it more than makes up for it with its fluid storytelling, remarkable character development, near-flawless plot, immersive atmosphere, and polished gameplay. It's so good, in fact, that finishing this review makes me want to urge you to play it—and dive right back in myself.

Overall, Elden Ring: Nightreign offers a different kind of experience—both compared to the original Elden Ring and within FromSoftware’s entire body of work. But this difference works in its favor, resulting in a compelling experience. It might not be all that exciting to play solo, but in the ideal scenario—with a solid team by your side—it’s easy to get lost for hours in its epic, unforgettable battles and the thrill of taking down its many bosses. So if you’ve always enjoyed the challenging combat of the Souls series and Elden Ring, and don’t mind a reduced focus on exploration and storytelling, Nightreign could be a deeply rewarding experience for you.

RoadCraft is a high-quality simulator focused on road construction. Its wide variety of levels and machinery—along with the fun of controlling them—and of course, the environmental and mechanical challenges involved in operating the vehicles and completing tasks, all come together to make it a standout simulator. Despite some technical issues and a clunky user interface, I definitely recommend it to fans of this genre.

Overall, it’s fair to say that id Software has once again succeeded in creating a game worthy of carrying the legendary DOOM name. The Dark Ages takes some risks and introduces new features, but in the end, most of these decisions and changes pay off in the final experience. The Dark Ages is an unforgettable, adrenaline-fueled festival of demon-slaying, and if you're a fan of the DOOM series—or first-person action games in general—you absolutely shouldn’t miss out on the thrill of playing it.

All in all, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 stands out as one of the biggest surprises of 2025 so far — a title that boasts a deep, unpredictable story, meticulously crafted gameplay and combat systems, and top-tier visual and audio presentation. This game isn’t just for fans of turn-based RPGs; it has the potential to impress anyone who appreciates high-quality experiences. Assassin's Creed Shadows has all the necessary features to create an unforgettable experience of adventure as a shinobi and a powerful samurai. Ubisoft Quebec, considering everything that frustrated players in the Assassin's Creed games after Origins, immerses players in Feudal Japan. The game has extraordinary graphics, which are considered the best among all Ubisoft games to date. The game's music, combined well with the story, engages you even more in discovering the truth.

Monster Hunter Wilds is a brilliant action role-playing game that progresses by challenging the player against a multitude of amazing bosses. Don't be afraid of the detailed gameplay systems, the complex appearance of some menus, the large number of items, or even the long and rich history of the series. Even if you have never experienced a single minute of any version of the Monster Hunter series before, Monster Hunter Wilds deserves a chance. To put it simply and put your mind at ease: Capcom has shone once again.

Overall, Civilization 7 still retains the timeless spirit of the Civilization series and can be counted on as an experience to be entertained by for a long time. However, some of the development team's decisions regarding changes and new features in the game are questionable and may especially annoy longtime fans. Nevertheless, if you have always dreamed of creating your own civilization, Civilization 7 is a delightful and addictive experience and can serve as a good entry point for those who have always been hesitant to try it due to the series' perceived complexity.

Warriors Abyss offers an amazingly engaging and addictive experience, showcasing a delightful blend of the Musou and Rogue-like genres. Fast-paced and chaotic combat, along with the variety of heroes present in the game and the ability to get help from other heroes, will create enjoyable moments for the player. There are also some issues, such as the repetitive and identical phases, problems related to bosses, and imbalance between the effects of emblems, which slightly mar the gaming experience. However, overall, the game can provide a lasting and beautiful experience that will entertain the player for a long time.
