Mario Petillo's Reviews
The best open-world game of the year. The map is huge and the battle-system is dynamic and engaging, the art directions is satisfying. Despite some minor problems, this XV chapter of Final Fantasy sets a new road for the future of the series.

The Last Guardian closed Ueda's trilogy with an important signal: the poem before the content, but the poetry tends toward the vacuum, leaving a beautiful picture to see, but not beautiful to live.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 The Final Chapter Prologue is an atypical collection: on one hand able to enchant with Dream Drop Distance, for gameplay and for the graphics, but on the other hand it doesn't impress with Birth by Sleep 0.2. The Back Cover film, then, doesn't transmit great feelings.

NieR:Automata succeds in a lot of elements: a complex and deep story, with a unique style of narration, a distopic and totally story driven open world and a fantastic mix between hack'n'slash and jRPG style.

Persona 5 is an essential play for all the jRPG fan. Incredibly unique in its style, with a varied and deep battle system, Persona 5 will enchant you with its plot and its interweaving of Tokyo perfectly designed.

Lego Worlds is a colorful and lively sandbox, but with too many technical problems and with a cumbersome gameplay.

The Disney Afteroon Collection is an act of faith, but also a dip in the nostalgia of the '80s and' 90s. Only one half of the products present in the collection, however, deserves to be gnawed to the bottom, but the inclusion of rewind and time trial allow you to have rewarding and pleasant solutions of gameplay.

A unique experience with an incredible atmosphere: leaves too many unanswered questions, but the five hours of gameplay flow fast.

Journey to Un'Goro is an interesting expansion pack, with some new pretty good ideas. Maybe the Quest feature could became binding very fast, but Blizzard, also this time, has managed to innovate his game.

A brave and funny mix between mousou and RPG, with some incertitudes and too much repetition.

Injustice 2 is a massive fighting game. A lot of content in single player and interesting RPG elements to personalize the characters, support an interesting and well orchestrated storyline.

Tekken 7 is a fighting game with a great gameplay, but with few content in the single player mode. The story, however, is pleasing and full of content, unlike what happened in the previous chapters. Tekken 7 is the most balanced and immediate Tekken ever, too.

A few steps ahead from Gladiolous' DLC, but transforming Final Fantasy XV into a third-person shooter is not a winning idea.

Crash trilogy is a pleasure for eyes and our nostalgia: the Sony mascot has returned in the best way with the same gameplay as twenty years ago and the same success.

Not as beautiful as we expected to see, but Final Fantasy XII is still a pearl of jRPG, also in the 2017.

Nothing really new for Hearthstone, but a pretty cool adventure with three wings and totally free for us.

Shadow of War brings the video game to epic: it's an exciting tale in Middle-earth, less rich than Christian Cantamessa did with the first one, but in the same time throbbing.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole is a nice sequel, with so much fun and irreverence, but equally repetitive.

Little Nightmares remains a small pearl this year, for the tones used and for the artistic direction, but it will not be with these additional content that will fill the gaps that had already come to an end in April. The hope is that with the latest DLC there will be a chance to have a narrative construct more substance than reflection, even without disdaining the latter.

Final Fantasy XV Comrades is a discreet DLC in theory, but in practice it offers a gameplay that is too flat and with a few cues, especially from the point of view of the plot.
