95 / 100 - Persona 5
Apr 18, 2017

Persona 5 is a game that has met and went above my expectations for it. The main story might not be as great as expected, however, the game amazes us with its individual story arcs, the battle system, soundtrack and its incredible art direction. Persona 5 is one of the best role playing games ever created and one of the best games of the year for the PS3 and PS4 systems.

Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator 2 is the most complete version of one of the best fighting games in the current generation, and is highly recommended for fans of the genre due to its complexity, and also for genre beginners because of its excellent tutorials. Revelator 2 brings little content to what already was a complete package, and it should please competitive players because of the new balancing and the option to just buy it as a DLC. Meanwhile, new players should opt for the complete package.

Omega Collection is the definitive version of three games within a genre that, unfortunately, doesn't get a lot of new games. Wipeout is about controlling your ship in unbelievable speeds and, today, there are few games that can give you that thrill for speed which such excellency.

Ys 8 is a polishment on the format debuted in Ys 7 which was also further refined in Ys Memories of Celceta and it is one of Falcom most ambitious titles to date. Mary Skelter Nightmares is one of the best Compile Heart games and one of the best DRPGs on the Vita. With its exploration and battle mechanics, Mary Skelter has a game loop that is addictive and always has something new to keep the players engaged. The game even goes beyond that by bringing a story, characters and a world that are well developed and make players wonder what will happen next. Escaping the Jail was the journey's objective, however, my time exploring within its walls was a lot of fun.

DJMax Respect is an excellent rhythm game with a great quantity and variety of songs added to a simple, addictive and very challenging gameplay. It's a mandatory title for those who love rhythm games and it should have a list of songs that might please everyone.

95 / 100 - Devil May Cry 5
Mar 13, 2019

Devil May Cry 5 does justice to the series legacy, even surpassing some of its predecessors in some points. The excellent gameplay makes this one of the best action games ever created and the great narrative makes players pay attention on how the story develops. I'm happy to say that Devil May Cry is back and I hope it stays like that for a long time.

NEO: The World Ends With You can be described as a sequel that respects and surpasses the original in many ways. The new title simplifies and improves some aspects coming from its predecessor, but it also brings new systems and expands them incredibly to create its own identity. This is not a title I recommend only for those who loved the original, but also for any RPG fan due to the quality present in each of its aspects. I consider NEO to be one of the essential RPGs in the PS4 library and I can only hope that we'll see more titles from this excellent series soon.

95 / 100 - Lost Judgment
Oct 4, 2021

Lost Judgment is a natural evolution of Judgment and it brings an absolutely incredible story with very modern themes. The whole package comes with an absurd amount of content for both the main and optional adventures. The excessive amount of mechanics could be cut or properly deepened, but that's a small problem in an absolutely phenomenal package.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is an excellent follow-up to The New Order and it is also one of the best shooting games from this generation. The story, yet simple, is interesting and with a lot of unexpected moments. The most important, however, is the gameplay, which is fun and should satisfy any player looking for a good shooting game.

90 / 100 - Yakuza Kiwami
Aug 29, 2017

Yakuza Kiwami is an excellent point of entry for newcomers and an awesome follow-up for those that played Yakuza 0, and it is also the best way to know how everything began or to relive how Kiryu's saga started. Kiwami is a tighter experience when compared to other Yakuza games, since it focuses in its crime story. Kiwami doesn't level up to Yakuza 0, however, it is an excellent game within the series and a must-play for any player.

Yakuza 6 marks the end of a long journey and a new beginning for the series. Kiryu's saga closes in a satisfatory manner with an intriguing story, charismatic characters and focusing on how Kiryu has grown throughout the years. Some scenes changed my opinion on earlier titles and, even then, the story is self-contained enough to welcome newcomers. The Dragon Engine marks a new era for the series with impressive visuals and visceral combat. Yakuza 6 shows a brilliant future for the series on the PS4.

90 / 100 - Yakuza Kiwami 2
Sep 1, 2018

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is an excellent remake of a classic that manages to modernize the best aspects of the original and adds a few surprises in order to please both new and old fans of the series. Kiwami 2 is the best opportunity to finally understand why Yakuza 2 is remembered as one of the best titles of the PS2 era.

Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk uses its many mechanics to create an excelent DRPG. The mechanics make exploring the labyrinth fun and the combat has an element of constant danger that prevents it from becoming tedious. The story and its little tragic tales are great in captivating the players and push them to explore beyond the necessary. Overall, this is one of the best DRPGs in recent years.
