Overall, Injustice 2 is a masterpiece of the fighting game genre. It features one of the best super hero stories of all time, defying expectations of both the genre and the medium. Not only that, but it’s the best looking fighting game to date, with the best facial expressions in a game since Uncharted 4.
Overall, NBA Playgrounds could’ve been the next NBA Jam. It nails everything from the look of the characters, to the lighthearted commentary. While it’s fun at first for a few rounds, as time goes on the cracks start to show and you realize that this game is more of an attempted layup than an actual slam dunk. If you’ve never played an NBA Jam game before, you can give this game a shot. Otherwise, for a true arcade basketball experience, stick to the classics.
Overall, Super Rude Bear Resurrection is a platformer, which shouldn't slip under your radar, especially if you like getting kicked in the balls. You'll die over and over again, but you'll have a lot of fun doing so, while some grimey music blasts in the background. Also, be sure to try and beat the whole game without dying, there's a $1000 waiting for you at the end of it.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a game of legends and one you don't want to skip out on.
Overall, Specter of Torment is a fabulous addition to the Shovel Knight title and further proves that Yacht Club Games are masters of their craft. Gameplay is fast and brimming with action, while adding hints of challenge. Specter Knight is an interesting character and a joy to play, while having an interesting story to boot. There's more than enough meat to justify your purchase, and it is a succulent dish indeed to experience.
Overall, For Honor is a unique multiplayer experience that brings the art of intimate combat mixed in with the fan faction of your favorite warriors clashing to the death. Ubisoft has another great title under its belt that has a long life ahead of it...
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is a collection well worth every penny. Dream Drop Distance is a fun entry to the franchise, but not without its issues; Kingdom Hearts X is a fun little movie, especially for those invested in the franchise's lore and mythos; and A Fragmentary Passage is a wonderful tease of what is to come, by introducing new elements and setting the stage up for Kingdom Hearts 3. If you're looking for your Kingdom Hearts fix, look no further, but you may have to wait a while until they announce the release date of Kingdom Hearts 3.
Overall, Steep is fun and definitely a world you can get lost in. The map is huge and full of challenges and locations to discover, with each providing thrills and stunts that will keep you coming back for more. Although it could have done better in some aspects, it still provides a fun package that mixes the fun of past arcade sports games, while adding modern elements to not make it feel outdated.
