80 / 100 - Madden NFL 18
Aug 18, 2017

Madden NFL 18 is a solid sports game. It's an immersive experience that all kind of fans can enjoy. But, being honest, it doesn't offers much novelties from previous entries. The story mode is interesting and with a good script, although we wish it lasted a little longer.

86 / 100 - Destiny 2
Sep 15, 2017

It's a more polished and fun game than the original game. That's how the first one should have been. It's a must have for fans of action and sci-fi games. It's story makes more sence and it justifies the reboot of it's whole universe. It's a game that has something for every kind of player, whether you're just looking to enjoy the campaign, play co-op with your friends or compete with players from all over the world. Few games can accomplish that.

88 / 100 - FIFA 18
Sep 27, 2017

Like in previous years, FIFA 18 it's a game that fans of soccer will appreciate the most. There's different ways that you can enjoy of its contents and when you are through with one of them, you can continue with another one that has several differences. Either that you just like to play with your buddies at parties, compete with thousands of fans online from around the world, or whether you'd like to relish on a good story in The Journey. But we have to admit that the novelties are scarce on comparison with last years entry.

80 / 100 - NBA 2K18
Oct 5, 2017

NBA 2K18 proves again that they're one of the best sports games of the year. But several of it's features are starting to feel the same year after year. They need a radical change to keep innovating in the future. The MyCarrer mode has more changes than the other modes, with a social experiment that not all fans are keen of. It has an excessive use of microtransactions that might demoralize the fans that try their best to be on the top.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole has a more polished combat system than the first game, but it still has some of it's basic flaws that makes it feel monotonous. Either way, you'll enjoy it the most if you're a fan of the animated show. The plot is intelligent, irreverent and with a few surprises. Although it lacks a few epic moments.

This remake of Secret of Mana allows us to enjoy one of the classic RPGs from the SNES once again. But at the end, it feels like a missed opportunity of what could have been the definitive version of the game.

It could be named as an interactive book. If you have read the novel, then it might be of your interest. Otherwise it could bore you. It has a slow gameplay and little action, but it has a compelling story that makes you care about the characters and their future.

60 / 100 - SYMMETRY
Mar 14, 2018

Symmetry has an interesting gameplay that combines resource management with a survival game. It has a minimalistic art style that we liked very much. But it's high difficulty will make you lose your patience really fast. In some occasions you'll feel that the game is being unjust with you, no matter how well you think you're playing.

One of the most creative game series is back, but maybe it's not what fans expected. Although it has some fun and interesting game elements, there's not much to do after a few hours with the game. The party style mini games are repetitive and some times the creation tool feels like a waste. Give it a try if you're looking for a different game for your parties.

88 / 100 - Far Cry 5
Mar 26, 2018

The fans of the Far Cry series should not worry. Here's a bold game with a great story, memorable villains and fun gameplay. If we add the Arcade Mode that's already included with the game and the future DLC's, then we'll be playing Far Cry 5 for a long time.

The Council is a good attempt to refresh the narrative adventure genre, that starts to feel a little bit too repetitive these days. Although it's not based on a popular intelectual property, it does offer a story full of mystery and some interesting characters.

Far Cry is a series that's versatile in the Ubisoft catalog. Only here we can travel to Vietnam or to Mars, as is the case of this second DLC of the fifth entry. But although I appreciate the sci-fi setting, I got bored after the first couple of hours.

Dead Living Zombies practically closes the content for Far Cry 5. From now on, you can only find new levels made by the community in the Arcade Mode. As an individual chapter, I think it doesn't live up to the quality of the main campaign. The first minutes where fun, but the novelty runs out quickly. On the other side, I consider that with the three DLCs you now have a package full of fun and variety that goes from a good main story campaign to extra episodes that take place on Vietnam, Mars and another one fighting zombies.

I'm not sure if this sequel was necessary, but if it's positive or negative, it's already here. Although there's many things that are similar in quality and that I enjoyed the same way as in Far Cry 5, this game is not as good. But it's not as bad as the three DLC from last year. I highly recommend that you play Far Cry 5 first.

73 / 100 - Trials Rising
Feb 28, 2019

Trials Rising is a fun game. There will be who plays it for a while just to see the different ways you can crash or to see it's wacky tracks. And there will be who wants to master it's controls and become an expert in the game. This is the game's greatest accomplishment, that it can be fun for different type of players and everyone will have a unique experience with it. Although, it will become kind of repetitive pretty fast.

80 / 100 - Cyber Shadow
Jan 29, 2021

Just as Shovel Knight, the other game published by Yacht Club Games, Cyber Shadow is a true homage to classic NES games, in particular to the Ninja Gaiden trilogy. It has all the elements that we remember fondly from those years, such as a retro sound and looks, but it complements them with modern gameplay mechanics. If we take off some of its visual effects and its resolution, I do see myself playing it in a classic 8-bit console. You only need the directional pad and two buttons to play it.
