I enjoyed my time in Village to a large extent. I can’t quite claim this to be a masterpiece but it is definitely a must have. Whether you’re new or old to the franchise, Resident Evil Village is a delightfully thrilling experience for connoisseurs of horror.

A fight with two different monsters will never be the same as they each have their own unique behavior and attack patterns that require different approaches. If you love thinking strategically and taking time to prepare, then this game might just be for you! There’s an exciting thrill to fighting larger beasts as you grind your equipment in preparation for the hunt. In this, Rise gets an excellent mark with our full recommendation to buy it.

6.5 / 10.0 - The Medium
Feb 13, 2021

The Medium was a game I really wanted to like. With its gorgeous graphics, old school tank control gameplay, and musical pieces composed by Akira Yamaoka himself it had everything that promised a memorable experience. But at the end, the journey was unfulfilling and forgettable.

7.5 / 10.0 - Hitman 3
Feb 3, 2021

Much like Agent 47, Hitman 3 appeals to those willing to craft their skills to perfection. Mastering every level can require thorough exploration of the environment and a grasp of how NPC’s behave. If you’re one of those who crave that experience, then Hitman 3 has our full recommendation.

5 / 10.0 - The Falconeer
Nov 23, 2020

Ultimately, The Falconeer is best when flying relaxingly around the environment. Appreciating its visuals can easily be the biggest selling point of the game. Though if you’re thinking of buying it, be aware of its flaws. The Falconeer is a visually pleasing game, but I can’t quite recommend it with its aerial combat being so lackluster.

Eivor's tale is an interesting story to experience and the gameplay that comes along the journey is liberating without being repetitive. With that, we recommend the game fully. It's not without its flaws. Even under the shadow of its predecessors, Valhalla is certainly a game that stands on its own.

7 / 10.0 - Amnesia: Rebirth
Nov 5, 2020

Amnesia Rebirth’s story could be considered disturbing. Though to those who played the previous installments, that shouldn’t come as a surprise. Rebirth doesn’t just input fear in you by showing you the tortured forms of man but horrifies you as well by showing you the darkest actions of what man is capable of. If you have the stomach to brave Tasi’s journey, then I fully recommend trying out Rebirth for yourself.

Remothered: Broken Porcelain needs much patching in order to be even considered playable. With unresponsive controls, frame rate issues, texture pop-ins, and etc., this game comes off far more frustrating to play than it is scary.

If you’re willing to overlook its shortcomings, then 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim is definitely for you. There is definitely some questionable taste in gameplay and visual representation that I feel holds the game back, but it’s not a bad game in general. Atlus has always been great at storytelling. If you’re interested in their works, then I’d recommend you try out Persona 5 Royal and Catherine Full Body right after this one.

8 / 10.0 - EA Sports UFC 4
Aug 22, 2020

For all my time playing UFC 4, I had never once gotten bored of its intense matches. Unlike other fighting games where I stick to my favorite combos and rush the fight, UFC 4 pushes me to slowly adapt to a different character’s fighting style and start thinking of strategies that last in the long run. There is a good level of adrenaline rushing through my veins every time one of my strategies pays off.

Despite the absence of action that I’m so familiar with from other games, this game is still very engaging enough for me to get sucked into its micromanagement. However, playing this on the PlayStation 4, I felt a bit awkward. I didn’t really think this was the type of game you sit on the couch and boot up on your home console. This was originally a Nintendo Switch game. If you can get the Switch version, then I recommend going for a more portable alternative.

7.5 / 10.0 - Maid of Sker
Jul 28, 2020

Overall, Maid of Sker is a decent horror game. If you’re looking for a good scare, then this is a game worth trying. It’s good for those who aren’t into horror games that rely on jump scares to deliver the horror. That being said, it does come with its own problems. Namely on the technical side. Frame rates and constant pop-ins were a hassle to have to go through. But hopefully, you’ll never have to experience that on your end.

The Last of Us Part II is rather daring when it comes to its narrative. It tells a very mature tale of revenge and what the effects of civilization crashing down has brought on humanity. At times, it will push you out of your comfort zone as we see people being tortured, mutilated, and brutalized by even the protagonist herself.

4.6 / 10.0 - Daymare: 1998
May 8, 2020

If you’re looking for a survival horror zombie game to play after the Resident Evil 3 Remake, then perhaps Daymare 1998 on the console isn’t it. If you really want to try this game, I’d recommend going for PC instead. But right now, with its technical limitations, sluggish controls, bland and uninteresting story, generic characters, and questionable game mechanics I can’t quite recommend Daymare 1998 to anyone.

Terminator Resistance is a mediocre game. This shooter just isn’t satisfying enough to recommend a buy. It has its fun moments and treats the source material well. But if you’re looking for a fun first-person shooter, you’d best look elsewhere. Terminator Resistance is definitely one for the long-time fans. Overall it feels like this game could’ve been better than it was.

9 / 10.0 - Death Stranding
Nov 17, 2019

Death Stranding is a beautiful game and one hell of an experience. That being said, this isn’t your average action-adventure game. It’s a game that boldly breaks the norm of video games by having tedious fetch quests that would be the death of any other game. And yet, Death Stranding somehow makes all of its mechanics work.

7 / 10.0 - GreedFall
Sep 27, 2019

Overall, Greedfall is an amazing game that many will have fun with. While not to say that Greedfall has left a mark in history, it is nevertheless quite the RPG that players can drown themselves in. You will spend hours upon hours in this game grinding your character from the ground up to become take out any opposition and craft your own ending.
