South Park: The Fractured But Whole is an amazing new addition to the series that expands and improves over the previous segment. The new fart mechanisms take both exploration and battles to a new level, balancing the two elements with a renewed feeling and saving the game from falling into the trap of repetition. The game provides a compelling story with surprising twists and turns to find out more about South Park and your mysterious past. The series fans will enjoy their time as they pick up all the signs and hints of previous episodes.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a fun and challenging strategy game with battles that require you to be adaptable and keep switching between your team members and your arsenal of weapons. It is also a rewarding game to explore and provides easy but fun puzzles at the same time and gives you a welcome break from the mind-boggling battles. The chaotic world of Rabbids and the Kingdom of Mushroom Kingdom have been beautifully combined, highlighting the best aspects of both worlds. With its beautifully designed optics, charming (and crazy) characters, and creative problem solving, I can say that this game is easily one of my favorite games for 2017.

9.6 / 10.0 - Final Fantasy XV
Dec 6, 2016

Final Fantasy XV has everything you would want in an RPG game. From a large, diverse world, to fun missions and side quests, to unique characters and well-written conversations, to a deep story, and more, the game will provide countless hours of entertainment. If you’re a fan of RPGs, I highly recommend you invest some time in Final Fantasy XV.

9 / 10.0 - Dishonored 2
Nov 13, 2016

Dishonored 2 is a fantastic journey that takes you across different cities in the empire to take down Delilah’s allies and reclaim your throne. It’s much more challenging than the first game but also much more flexible. Playing as Emily and Corvo gives you multiple powers to experiment with and ways to traverse the maps and you can play it over and over again to find new secrets and without getting bored. However, while playing as Corvo, the game and the story will feel very similar to the first game and it’s much less exciting than playing as Emily.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has been getting a lot of unnecessary bad rep on the Internet. Even though the story isn’t perfect and the multiplayer is facing some technical issues, I absolutely loved the sci-fi additions, the fun gameplay, the third act of the campaign, and the silly zombie mode. However, it does not bring anything especially innovative to the shooter genre. It’s a good Call of Duty title and that’s about it.

World of Final Fantasy is a charming turn-based RPG filled with familiar characters, settings, and music to make any fan of the series happy. While it's adorable setting, interesting story, and new combat mechanics provide hours of fun, it eventually becomes tediously repetitive and the fights become monotonous. Even creating and customizing stacks loses its luster when you start resorting to familiar "tried and tested" combinations. The game could have definitely benefited from a much shorter campaign.

8.5 / 10.0 - NBA 2K17
Sep 20, 2016

NBA 2K17 continues the tradition by delivering a more refined version of the best basketball simulator out there. With increased options in ball control, a better (but not so great) story, and a ton of customization options, NBA 2K17 is a blast to play even if it is set back by sluggish online connectivity issues.

7.5 / 10.0 - Seasons After Fall
Sep 3, 2016

Seasons After Fall is an incredibly charming platforming experience. The art style, soundtrack, and overall atmosphere are well done. The powers of the seasons are also great although the puzzles weren’t challenging enough and didn’t utilize them properly. If you feel like having a good time without thinking too much, I would definitely recommend it. However, if you’re looking for a challenge, this might not be the game for you.

Warner Bros. has done what we all wanted EA to do: create a genuinely fun Star Wars experience that honors the beloved universe. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is incredibly fun and it's jampacked with easter eggs that'll make any fan smile. The game is full of charm and witty humor, the story is great, the levels and puzzles are terrific, and the new gameplay mechanics add a lot of much needed diversity.

Uncharted 4 takes everything it has learned from previous iterations and expands on the series for one last encore. From its stunning visuals, well paced action sequences, improved stealth mechanics and challenging puzzles, Naughty Dog has created a masterpiece worthy to be called a fitting end to our favorite thief.

8.5 / 10.0 - Alienation
Apr 25, 2016

If you’re coming into this game expecting something like Helldivers or Dead Nation (and according to Housemarque it’s supposed to be the latter’s “spiritual successor”) you’re going to be happily surprised. The gameplay is smooth and rewarding with varied alien types, fast-paced action, and total alien carnage. It’s definitely a better experience when you’re playing co-op as some of the levels are too daunting for solo-play but you will find that either way the game is worth both your time and money.

9.2 / 10.0 - Ratchet & Clank
Apr 11, 2016

Ratchet and Clank is the epitome of everything Insomniac has learned over the years. It mixes the best parts of the series with new gameplay features and improved graphics to create an exciting adventure filled with charming characters, creative weaponry, witty humor, and a universe you won’t soon forget. If you’ve played Ratchet and Clank games before you’ll find this revisit like meeting an old friend you love. If you haven’t, get ready for an exceptional experience you might not find anywhere else.

The Division is an absolutely incredible game that sets a new standard for teamwork, tactics, and customization. You don’t need to be an online multiplayer expert to be able to enjoy everything this game has to offer. The world is rich and and full of incredible storytelling details that bring it to life and I enjoyed exploring every corner with my group.

8.6 / 10.0 - Far Cry Primal
Feb 22, 2016

The world of Far Cry Primal is alive and rich with diverse flora and fauna that bring out the hunter/gatherer in you. The tools and weapons you use offer a refreshing take on shooting games. However the weak story and uninspired villains makes the game feel somewhat directionless.

9.5 / 10.0 - XCOM 2
Feb 14, 2016

XCOM 2 succeeds in being the most varied and refined installment in the series. With randomized missions, diverse squad customization options, and a tough as nails enemy AI, XCOM 2 is an amazing game that I will gladly revisit multiple times and I recommend you do too.

9.5 / 10.0 - Firewatch
Feb 10, 2016

Firewatch is truly a storytelling masterpiece. The mystery unfolds at a proper pace as you explore the beautiful Wyoming wilderness and the characters naturally grow as they encounter different experience. Rich Sommer and Cissy Jones did an exceptional job with the voice acting, bringing Henry and Delilah to life and making me form an emotional bond with them. I highly recommend this game to anyone who loves a great story.

7.3 / 10.0 - Resident Evil 0 HD
Jan 18, 2016

Resident Evil Zero HD will satisfy any puzzle-solving fan and it uses the two characters wisely in many sections of the game. The information you collect from roaming around the map and picking up journal entries is fantastic and acts as a great origin story for the series. However, the story you play is weak, the characters are bland, and the shooting is terrible. There’s also no sign of horror in this supposedly horror game.

EA and DICE’s revival of Star Wars Battlefront struck all the right tonal and atmospheric chords. The polished visuals and attention to detail is impressive and the gameplay is smooth and exciting. However, the game lacks content and would have benefited from including the season pass in the core game from the start.

Ubisoft takes big steps in the right direction with Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. The environment is well-crafted, the characters are engaging, traversal is fun, and the story is compelling. The addition of the Rooks adds a fantastic new dynamic to the game. Despite its moderately unresponsive gameplay, the latest installment of the series succeeded in impressing us.
