Resident Evil 2 is not only an entirely new game – it is also a great one. The sudden jump-scares are perhaps a bit unsophisticated, but they get the job done. Furthermore, the game offers a well-written story and over a dozen hours of pure fun, action, and puzzles. Amazing job.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... is what that the original should have been from the start. A more polished and expanded game with an improved combat system while keeping the stunning aspects of the old NieR. If I were to rate this game only from a die-hard fan's perspective, I would give it an even higher score.

Resident Evil Village is a crown jewel in this ever-evolving series. The developers have combined elements from the two most prominent installments – 4 and 7 and added lots of new, interesting ideas. Then, they topped all this with a thick sauce of fantastic art direction and, behold! We got one of the best Resident Evil games and survival horrors in general.

A Way Out is more than just the sum of its parts; when all the game’s elements are working together, the end result is almost surprisingly good. Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a successful remake of the original title(s), which is similar to the case of Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy. The developers have done a great job by refreshing the graphics and tweaking some gameplay mechanics. Also, modern controls have been implemented. All these aspects make this game pack a joyful experience.

I would love it if Soulcalibur VI was prettier and offered more warriors. But what I got was great nonetheless – a superb beat’em up game with a well-designed fighting system, tons of single player content, a solid multiplayer and a unique atmosphere. The legend is back!

The remake of Final Fantasy VII isn’t perfect. It has some highly redundant and simply boring side activities that derail the narrative at times, and the visuals are very uneven. But all of these are minor hitches. FFVII Remake is so much more than a mere nostalgia act. It’s probably the most daring game Square Enix has created in years – one that generates great emotions and tons of fun.

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds does not start a revolution and has a pretty weak storyline but it offers enough new and diverse content that all fans of mechanical dinosaurs wanting to return to this world after defeating Hades should play it without hesitation.

Yakuza 6 is not a game for everyone, but you can’t deny it a certain charm. I followed a very cool storyline for many hours and I have happily frittered some time away playing various mini-games. The combat becomes repetitive after a while, but, all in all, this is a really great game.

We're happy to say that Devil May Cry 5 is an exceptional slasher. The combat system is great, the opponents look cool, the storyline is the best in the series, and the graphics solid, though quite often inconsistent. The veterans should be aware, however, that the game offers proper challenge only on higher difficulty levels, which are locked at the beginning.

Capcom does it again. Resident Evil 3 may by shorter and more linear than I'd fancy, but the 7 hours needed to complete the story whizzed by and I was more than content. The game is pretty, interesting and has the one and only – Nemesis. Ah, Nemesis…

Before the Storm is a good pit-stop between the first and second part of Life is Strange. The game itself is pleasant but not memorable. Chloe and Rachel’s relationship is portrayed very convincingly but there is too few new things and the whole thing relies too much on the first game.
