Octopath Traveler II is a solid JRPG that shines beyond its nostalgic tricks. With fantastic storytelling, beautiful visuals, an exceptional soundtrack, and engaging combat mechanics, the game delivers 8 memorable journeys. While it stays in line with its predecessor, Team Asano and Acquire understood the areas of improvement and worked to deliver a great experience

8.5 / 10.0 - Pikmin 4
Jul 19, 2023

Pikmin 4 captures the essence of the franchise, even if it doesn't redefine the gaming landscape. While it doesn't revolutionize gaming, it delivers the familiar real-time strategic gameplay and introduces interesting changes. The open philosophy in level design and beautiful atmosphere will immerse players in a miniature world. Though it may be too easy and lacks an intriguing story, Pikmin 4 is a solid addition to the series.

A year after releasing on PlayStation 4, Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy is now on Nintendo Switch as a solid adaptation that compensates a slight graphic downgrade with portability.

Even though it doesn't shake things too much, The Frozen Wilds is a worthy expansion that is fun exploring. The DLC adds a new story, several side-quests and lots of challenges that will entertain veterans and newcomers alike.

By adding some RPG systems, Assassin's Creed: Odysseys builds upon everything that Origins did right to create one of the best entries of the series. However, the game has some issues like boring romance options and poor AI. Despite that, Odyssey got us excited for the future of the franchise.

Pokemon Ultra Sun has plenty of content to offer to those who spent hours with Pokémon Sun & Moon. Though its main campaign isn't very different from what we played in his predecessor, Game Freak cut a lot of things to make it more direct. Also, this entry has a lot of postgame content for players that want to be the very best.

8.2 / 10.0 - Kirby Star Allies
Jan 1, 1970

With good level design, charming graphics and fun multiplayer, Kirby: Star Allies stand as one of the best entries in the franchise. Its Story Mode may be easy, and it probably won't take you a lot of time to complete, but HAL Laboratory packed a nice amount of content that will keep Kirby's biggest fans busy for a while.

8 / 10.0 - Pato Box
Jul 10, 2018

Pato Box is far from being a perfect experience and it is clear that it lacks polish in some areas. Fortunately, Bromio did a lot of things right so Pato Box stands as a fun and enjoyable twist to the Punch-Out!! formula.

After Pokémon GO massive success, Game Freak tried to bring some of its core mechanics to the mainline series with Pokémon: Let's Go! As a result, we have a new fresh take on the series that does a lot of things right, but also lacks in others, especially the postgame.

The Origami King is a fun adventure game with a charming story and clever dialogue. Sadly, it suffers from an identity crisis due to an battle system that is not for everybody.

New Pokémon Snap takes what made the original special, but doesn't add or changes much. It is a fun experience and fans will be happy with this new entry, but they shouldn't expect more than a simple and arcade experience with tedious progression.

Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy look better than ever. Playing them at 60 frames per second is a treat and the basic implementation of the DualSense haptics On the other hand, these details are perhaps insufficient to justify another ride through the world of Uncharted. That's not to mention the fact that this is a paid product and not a free upgrade. That said, it is undeniable that this is the best version of 2 great jewels of the Naughty Dog catalog.

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is a re-release with more love and respect than I ever hoped would be given to a game that many saw as the ugly brother of one of the best JRPGs in history. This is a remaster that did go that extra mile to pamper those of us who for years have been asking for a way to play Chrono Cross on a modern platform.

We found The DioField Chronicle to be a fresh, interesting and entertaining strategy game. There are several details that could be polished, but in the end its strengths shine enough to be insignificant. We are talking about a game that genre enthusiasts will want to try.
