Miasma Chronicles is the evolution of Mutam Year Zero. The Beardes Ladies could have released a sequel to the title, but it was launched to create a new IP, making it clear that in this to build post-apocalyptic worlds are the best. In addition, they manage to improve their formula for success, with a stealth system and deeper ambush that gives a wide variety of opportunities when planning each combat. Being able to eliminate several enemies prior to combat is undoubtedly a great idea, which adds one more point to the tactics of combat although, in this case, it is outside of it. And it's very rewarding.

The Valiant is an RTS that doesn't invent anything new. It does not present a great novelty in the genre and the feeling it leaves is that we have already seen everything in other titles. It is true that constantly innovating is complicated, we do not deny it, but there is always some element or something that stands out, which we do not find in this title.

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is a perfect continuation in the saga. A title that knows where it comes from and where it wants to go and that allows the franchise to take a step forward in the right direction. An even bigger game, longer and full of well-designed and posed challenges and puzzles.

Achilles: Legends Untold is a game that knows what it wants to be and achieves it perfectly. It's an ideal mix between the Diablo formula, with an isometric perspective and a very similar way of playing, and the souls genre, with a fairly aggressive but fair difficulty and with a fair and careful learning curve. In addition, whenever you die, you will lose those experience points and have a chance to recover them.

In a year that has been excellent in terms of big releases and with numerous contenders to GOTY, The Talos Principle II stands as a more than serious option. And it does so on its own merits by proposing a totally different experience, far from frenetic action or strategy. Instead, we find a philosophical proposal, based on thought and focused on history, with a series of very well implemented and thought-out puzzles.

Football Manager 2024 Console Edition continues to shape the formula on consoles, but it still falls far short of the PC version. Simplifying some tasks and content has its pros and cons. On the one hand, it allows for faster and more agile gameplay, ideal for enjoying the experience on consoles. Skull and Bones went through a tortuous development and on many occasions it seemed that it was never going to arrive and would remain in the drawer of forgotten games. TopSpin 2K25 is the return to the tennis court. A long-awaited comeback and it does so through the front door, taking everything that worked in TopSpin 4 and improving it. Especially its gameplay, based on that title, but much deeper. A game system that feels great at the controls, that is easy to understand but difficult to master and with a pretty good learning curve. At least that's the feeling it has left us with after several hours of play, that little by little and by trying we have been improving the accuracy of our shots, even in unfavorable situations.
