Super Dinoblasters is a fun little indie platformer that provides an enjoyable experience at a discount price. With retro throwbacks and visuals, you can tell a lot of love has been put into development. With some minor tweaks and a speed increase, plus a few more levels, this one has real potential.

Despot's Game is an unusual combination of genres that adds something fresh to the scene. It's fast-paced and enjoyable in short bursts, with upgrades that help keep things interesting. The randomized runs won't be for everyone, but they're fun while they last, despite a lackluster control scheme.

7 / 10.0 - Intrepid Izzy
Dec 28, 2022

Intrepid Izzy is a clear labor of love that looks great and plays well, although minor flaws stop it from being perfect. If you enjoy Shantae's adventures, this is a nice homage to that series.

Doraemon's second Story of Seasons outing is another crossover event that's likely to appeal to fans of both Doraemon and Story of Seasons. It looks fantastic and has a deep narrative, however the story can get it in the way of the actual farming at times.

Letterbox by POWGI is simple and fun. The no-frills style won't provide much longevity after you're done, but if you like word puzzles, this is enjoyable. Some future DLC – though unlikely – would also be welcome to help extend the game's life.

7 / 10.0 - Vagante
Feb 5, 2022

Vagante is a moody RPG/platforming roguelike looks neat, if dark and gloomy, and plays well. It's not groundbreaking, but there's enough to keep genre fans busy with the copious amount of items to try out. It's a little on the tough side, but that's also the idea.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is an enjoyable mash-up of every single Marvel character you can think of in a unique LEGO environment. It's not my favorite LEGO game, however the sheer amount of Marvel characters makes it fun for any fan. Keep in mind this is an eight-year-old game, so maybe watch for a sale on this one.

7 / 10.0 - Apple Slash
Aug 30, 2021

Apple Slash is incredibly fun but over way too soon. The visuals and soundtrack are a treat, while the short story has humor and heart. It's absolutely worth playing but doesn't quite justify the price. If you see it on sale for a dollar or two, grab it quickly, though.

7 / 10.0 - Door Kickers
Jan 15, 2021

Door Kickers is a complex game made for the strategic thinker. There's a lot of content to sink your teeth into, providing almost endless hours of S.W.A.T. combat. It could use better tutorials, and the convoluted controls may put some players off at first, but there's a lot to uncover here for fans of tactical shooters.

7 / 10.0 - Creepy Tale
Aug 2, 2020

Creepy Tale is aptly titled; it had no trouble giving me goosebumps. The gloomy atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing and the cryptic puzzles will tease your brain, bordering on frustrating at times – patience and trial and error are key attributes here. This one will likely appeal to fans of point-and-click style puzzle games with horror elements.
