3 / 10.0 - Undead's Building
Apr 3, 2019

Undead's Building is a game built around using an elevator to save people from zombies in different buildings and garages. While there are only seven levels to play, this title still manages to overstay its welcome because of boring gameplay and generic character design.

6 / 10.0 - Robothorium
Mar 16, 2019

While the plot of Robothorium is rather interesting, the mixture of slow repetitive combat, and probability based map events held this game back from its true potential.

Despite some instances of odd acting, The Shapeshifting Detective is a fun supernatural crime drama that will leave you wanting more. This works well, since the story can be finished in a short amount of time. Coupled with a variety of decisions and character interactions via the shapeshifting mechanic, this gritty detective story is a great entry for the Switch library.

OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes is a title that is full of tiresome fetch quests and padding. Yet, this game shines when combat, or the talented cast of voice actors are put center stage, which isn't often enough to save it from the repetitive qualities you are forced to handle.

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition is a great metroidvania, that takes tropes from the genre and turns them into a joke. Humor aside, this is a fun title with a colorful world and interesting combat.

Warlock of Firetop Mountain is a unique experience that takes a single-player adventure book and translates it into a digital experience. While fun at times, this title is bogged down by delayed controls in spots and long load times.

Victor Vran Overkill Edition is a delightfully dark romp through dark and distorted Victorian areas, backed by a witty protagonist. While there is a lot of fun to be had, fighting the same enemies can get old in extended sessions, and menus can be hard to navigate.

6 / 10.0 - Outlast II
Apr 18, 2018

Outlast 2 is a decent survival horror game with nice graphics and gameplay, but loses tension due to a overused autosave system. While I had a lot of fun exploring the various environments, it just left me longing for the original.

7 / 10.0 - Flinthook
Mar 23, 2018

While Flinthook was a swashbuckling good time, the poor level design and odd level system keep this title from being great. Despite the problems, this is a tight platformer with a lot of personality and fun mechanics.
