Far Cry Primal is a breath of fresh air when it comes to first person action games. It simplifies good old Far Cry formula but still delivers robust gameplay enriched with multitude of companions and weapon upgrades. If you like bows and spears it's a must. The only let down is heavy use of mystics and not relying on down to earth believable story.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun made my eyes tear. Playing the game I started to reminisce about the old days. The game is really similar to Commandos series, featuring a distinct and flavourful heroes. Crippled sniper, a child-thief, shinobi, samurai. They all make a ragtag team of personalities who have the same goal, but every single person has a different motivation - loyalty, wealth, fun. Put it simply, it's a perfect strategic game focusing on a single person-scale operations.

Ken Follet's The Pillars of the Earth is one of the best episodic adventure games. Also it the best book to game conversion I've experienced. It's full of murder, revenge, redemption, backstabbing, and misfortune. It ends brilliantly setting up the episode to come. Can't wait for the second one.

Warface is a solid free-to-play title. It can provide a ton of fun, but also features some egregious microtransactions that will give a player advantage. There is no match when it comes to your standard free console shooters. And this is quite sad situation to be in.

Cat Quest II is a great game for a bit of relaxation on the weekend. The second game in the series makes us to form an unlikely alliance to overcome shared troubles. Unfortunately the game often offers inconsistent difficulty, simply placing tough enemies where we are not supposed to go. Otherwise, it's a nice adventure game.
