A beautiful, welcoming game that is everything and anything you want it to be. This is one you'll play all year and beyond, and it's exactly what the world needs right now.

8.5 / 10.0 - Two Point Hospital
Feb 21, 2020

Two Point Hospital on console was well worth the wait, and you can buy the Switch version with confidence, and that's the doctor's orders.

Jan 3, 2020

It’s still compelling and you’ll want to train every day, but perhaps it’s not quite as essential as it once was when we played it on the DS-family of handhelds. Just don’t take that brain age too seriously

Once upon a time people would overuse the word "epic", but it's a phrase truly befitting of Rockstar's brilliant Red Dead Redemption 2.

8.5 / 10.0 - Luigi's Mansion 3
Oct 28, 2019

Fun for everyone, Luigi's Mansion 3 delights with its themed bosses and exploration. It's a slow burn though, and not everyone will appreciate it's pacing.

Whilst Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a port and not a remaster, it still looks amazing on Switch, and if you've got the time, it's a fantastic RPG well worth your time.

If you've never played The Witcher 3, you should try to play on Xbox or PC, but if you want to get up close and personal, this is a fantastic version of a truly brilliant game.

Dare I say it, the Switch version is the best way to play a game that is well worth your time - even in the currently crowded market.

Deadly Premonition Origins looks bad on the switch, and there are various issues including poor frame rate and awful driving controls, but its just as bizarre as it ever was.

This is just the same wonderful game that was first released in 2015, and it's delightful to see it given a new lease of life on Nintendo Switch.

9 / 10.0 - FIFA 20
Sep 19, 2019

A superb game of football yet again, but some changes are better than others. FIFA 20 is still a great game fit to bursts with a mode for everyone.

Whether you're a new or old player, Link's Awakening remains is hugely compelling and is another Switch must-have.

10 / 10.0 - Gears 5
Sep 4, 2019

If you didn't think you needed another Gears of War, you were wrong. Gears 5 is a barnstorming success, and a triumphant return for the series. This is the essential first party game the Xbox One desperately needed.

A fantastic puzzle game hides underneath an interesting, engaging story. There's plenty here to warrant another look, and if you skipped it before, don't pass it over this time.

9 / 10.0 - Astral Chain
Aug 26, 2019

A brilliant game that's deep and offers accessibility for people who struggle as well as people who want to master every inch of the combat. In a crowded marketplace, Astral Chain stands out as a unique, interesting game that you'd be foolish to pass up on.

An engaging story and superb battle system keeps you coming back hour after hour, but Three Houses suffers from a lack of variety in the RPG sections.

When you think you’re seeing a render in-game that looks too good for Switch, that’s because essentially a video is playing. Yes, the actual game part is lower resolution, and yes, of course if you can play it on PS4, Xbox One, or PC, you’ll get the better looking experience, but if you are a Switch-only console household then you’re getting a great looking game that sounds amazing, and tells a story with one of the best takes on mental health in a long time. Play it on handheld with headphones and you’ll be shocked, just don’t be surprised if it looks blurry (and sub-HD) on the big screen.

Despite the multiplayer being slightly underwhelming, the new creation tools, single player story, and addition of Super Mario 3D World make Super Mario Maker 2 a fantastic overall package.

Jan 9, 2019

For newcomers who haven't experienced it, this is still a very good game; one that's aged well. But for returning players, there just isn't quite enough to warrant another go.

Unscored - Hitman 2

Aside from knocking the drab story on the head, it’s tough to know what more I could have wanted from Hitman 2.
