GREAT - Deltarune Chapter 1 improves on its predecessor, Undertale, in almost every way – from gameplay to music to the wonderfully detailed sprites. It’s probably the best free game on the Switch next to Tetris 99. Play this game with the volume up!
WORTH CONSIDERING - YIIK tries many new things to reinvent the JRPG genre only to fall flat. It’s a shame because there is a potentially good game buried under the pretentious main character, Alex. The music is great though!
EXCELLENT - The Switch port of Final Fantasy IX is a great way for new players and veterans alike to experience the timeless tale in the best looking version of the game to date. There are a few annoyances that come along for the ride, but nothing that’s going to hinder this fantastic game. Get ready to fall in love with Vivi all over again.
WORTH CONSIDERING - There are a few times where Observer shines when you relinquish your mind to its sensory overload. The gameplay can be painfully slow and the story really takes its time to get going. If you’re into Blade Runner it will whet your appetite for a cyberpunk world, but it won’t spark any deep conversations or existential crises you’ve come to associate with the genre.
GREAT - Reverie: Sweet As Edition creates a charming adventure that feels like a sweet ode to childhood. If you’re looking for a fusion of Earthbound and A Link to the Past, look no further. Side effects of playing may include wanting to visit New Zealand on your summer holidays.
OUTSTANDING - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate delivers the definitive version of Nintendo’s popular party fighter with more characters, stages, and ways to play than ever before. Ultimate is a collection of gaming history from the last few decades with something for everyone. Every Switch owner should have this in their collection.
