It’s easy to look at Yakuza 0 on the surface and compare it to the likes of Grand Theft Auto. It’s a natural assumption, but Yakuza 0 is far more than its western counterparts.
Escaping into a world of crafts and art bursting with life, is so cathartic in Yoshi’s Crafted World. I welcome its unabashed cuteness and its simple, yet innovative level designs. Yes, it’s an “easy” game if looked through the lens of a platforming challenge. But the world is hard enough as it is, and Yoshi’s Crafted World wants you to have a good, charming time.
Gathering Storm is a great expansion. The quality of leader designs leaves me in anticipation for an upcoming DLC, and potentially, another expansion on the horizon.
Civilization VI is a testament that the turn-based strategy genre is very much alive, and is here for more eras to come. Despite some AI personality hiccups and a steep learning curve, you’ll be on the edge of your seat pleading, “Just one more turn!
