The First Berserker: Khazan is a standout title that successfully blends challenging gameplay, stunning visuals, and atmospheric audio to create a compelling experience for fans of the Souls-like genre. While its narrative may lack depth and its linear structure may disappoint some players, the game's strengths far outweigh its shortcomings. For those willing to embrace its difficulty and adapt to its mechanics, The First Berserker: Khazan offers an unforgettable journey of vengeance and redemption.
Mother Machine is a game with a lot of potential but falls short of its lofty ambitions. Its charming visuals and engaging movement mechanics are overshadowed by repetitive gameplay and a lack of variety. While it offers moments of fun, especially in cooperative play, it struggles to sustain long-term interest. For those seeking a light-hearted multiplayer experience, Mother Machine is a more enjoyable experience, however for gaming veterans, it may not hold your attention for long.
It Takes Two is a fun cooperative game on the PlayStation that is filled with consistent surprises and delights, offering a unique and unforgettable experience. Whether you're playing with a significant other, a friend or a family member, It Takes Two is an essential title for any PS5 owner who is looking for a cooperative challenge and from an incredible moving perspective from a story point of view that can easily be knocked over in a few binge gaming sessions.
Space Marine 2 knows exactly what it's trying to be and makes no bones about its glaring limitations from start to finish. Fans of the Warhammer 40,000 universe will no doubt find more mileage in the campaign and characters, but for players with only a passing interest in 40k (or players with absolutely no interest), it's hard to ignore the patchy narrative and increasingly one-note gameplay. That said, there’s a lot of potential here, and we hope to see a third outing from Sabre Interactive in the future.
There is an awful lot to like about Those Who Remain, but unfortunately, there is also a lot which will leave players deeply frustrated.
Previously we'd have said that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End was unequivocally the greatest game you'd ever see on the PS4. But now, thanks to the extra processing power of PS4 Pro, Horizon Zero Dawn probably edges it. Hell, it even has a fantastic photo mode thrown in just for good measure that can make those breathtaking vistas look all the more impressive.
Again though, we really are splitting hairs because this is a near flawless game.
If this is your first time embarking on this adventure, then prepare to experience a masterpiece that will live long in the memory.
Enjoyable without ever being marvel-ous
A tongue-in-cheek shooter that isn’t as explosive as it should be
