Dusk Diver 2 greatly improves upon the foundation of the original game and creates an enticing gameplay loop with stylish visuals. The game's main scenario is a compelling step above its predecessor to complete a great, well-rounded sequel.

Ground Divers! mashes elements of classic games such as Dig-Dug with roguelikes, a genre popular with modern day gaming. The gameplay is defined by it's fast-paced, replayable nature and infusion of RPG elements. The game's colorful presentation radiates very feel-good vibes for an experience worth playing through on Switch.

Is Dusk Diver a good game? Yeah, I think so! It does have some questionable choices in it and not great performance, but it makes up for that with insanely fun beat-’em-up gameplay, a deliciously cheesy and enjoyable story with memorable characters, and a great musical style and artwork.

If you’re going to play this game, I’d recommend simply trying the free mobile version out and making your decision based on that. It’s much better suited for that platform, anyhow. But I cannot personally recommend it on Switch, especially at its current price. With a bland and predictable story, poor presentation, and gameplay that just feels like nothing.
