It isn’t the cheapest game in the Switch eShop… especially if you live in Canada (look at that silly-billy conversion rate!!). But I am a firm believer that it is worth it to pay for good art, and those voice actors, animators, and artists deserve to be paid for all their hard work. If you love visual novels, but you’re strapped for cash, I would definitely get this when it goes on sale!

Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ has you put your cute little feet into the shoes of Cardia. A young girl with a mysterious crystal embedded in her chest, replacing her heart… Oh, and, she is also poisonous. Her skin is constantly releasing a poison that is instantly fatal to anyone who touches her skin. Ya know, that kinda thing is going to make finding love a little tough.

If you’re feeling like there’s something missing from your life. If maybe your social media accounts aren’t fulfilling you like you think they should. Maybe pick this game up, and take a glimpse into a possible future where things could get even worse. This game is one of those ones that, when you finish, you’ll start to ponder the meaning of life. And heck, if a game makes think, and then makes me want to go see and hug my friends, then that’s well worth it

Liked-a-lot - Coffee Talk
Jan 28, 2020

Coffee Talk is a sweet little visual novel game with amazing artwork, and the one of the chillest soundtracks I’ve ever heard in a game, ever. The point of the game is that you are a barista at a coffee shop in Seattle. The year is 2020, and this is no ordinary coffee shop; this coffee shop is open late at night. Now if you think that’s strange, it gets stranger: this coffee shop exists in a version of Seattle where humans aren’t the only race. Coffee Talk is definitely worth picking up! The creators, artists, musicians, programmers… everyone who worked on this game should feel proud of what they’ve done! Thank you for such a fun and interesting experience!

Tools Up! is a fun little party game that would be perfect for this time of year, what with all the Christmas gatherings. It's not going to blow your mind with innovation, but it's going to provide you with warm fuzzies and fun memories.   If you've played Overcooked to death and are looking for something that feels the same, but is new, then this is also the perfect game for you. It's reasonably priced, and will provide many hours of fun entertainment.
