Overall, I really enjoyed playing Rytmos. While I cannot play a musical instrument in real life, I don’t think that matters when playing Rytmos. The developers have made the game so that it is educational, entertaining and, most of all, fun. Puzzle fans should enjoy this musical trip worldwide; you never know, you might even learn something new.
So, taking everything into account, Lucie’s Potager has a relaxing gameplay loop of pottering around the garden, gathering and selling in the shop. However, the relaxing loop is broken by the short days and the inability to travel far on the map. I wouldn’t mind the short days so much if the areas I’m exploring had more resources to gather; then, it would be worth my time to go and explore. I can’t help thinking about the $20 price tag in the eShop; Lucie’s Potager is up against some stiff competition from much better simulation games that are already released.
The thing that stands out for me the most about Tales of Symphonia Remastered, though, is that underneath the remaster is the construction of its original game. It shows in the animation choices, art direction, combat and stage design. The Tales games were intelligently made and genuinely interested in telling a fun story and providing a good time. Helped along by a great cast of characters, a reasonably well-written plot, and a fairly addicting combat system. Tales of Symphonia Remastered offers up a generous portion of an earlier generation’s take on the JRPG genre for first-time visitors to the series.
Overall, I like Alice in Wonderland – A jigsaw puzzle tale. However, I would have given it a higher score if it had performed better on the Switch, but the crashes are irritating. Hopefully, a fix will be forthcoming for this lovely game soon.
Overall, if you are a massive fan of Mahjong games, you will probably find all you are looking for in Legendary Mahjong. There are over 300 levels of tile-matching to complete to keep you busy for hours on end. As for me, while I liked Legendary Mahjong, the game didn’t provide a challenge for me, and it was all too easy.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the ONE PIECE ODYSSEY world. The game is a solid JRPG and was much more enjoyable than other games in the same genre I’ve played lately. In a way, it reminded me of Dragon Quest games, which I love. However, I would have preferred more of a challenge during combat. Nevertheless, it is an impressive love letter to the ONE PIECE amine series.
Startup Company Console Edition held my attention for the first four or five hours. However, as I progressed and got nearer to the end of the game, it soon turned into a case of clicking to and fro and adding ingredients. I did play on but only in short bursts, and it wouldn’t be a game I’d replay. Overall the game is fine as a simulation but doesn’t offer the player anything new.
Clutter’s Greatest Hits – Collector’s Edition is a fun casual game. It doesn’t pressure the player to succeed, and you can play it at your own pace. It’s also quite addictive and can pull you back for one more turn. The game is suitable for all ages of puzzles fans to enjoy.
Farlanders is an exciting game with its terraforming puzzle elements and one to watch. In addition, it offers strategic planning for players of the strategy simulation genre. More updates are to be released, such as Daily Challenge, and a Sandbox game mode will be added after the game’s release. There is a free prologue available to download from Steam and a demo for the game if you want to try it out before you buy.
Overall, I enjoyed playing Twistingo: Bird Paradise Collector’s Edition. The puzzles are suitable for any age, and the game is beautiful to look at while playing. Of course, The Block will only suit some gamers; those that like to have an end goal or more of a challenge won’t find it in this game. Instead, you will find a lovely, gentle, relaxing game to play and chill out with. The Block is soothing and the most uncomplicated, effortless game/digital toy I have ever played.
The world of Draconia’s floating islands is a beautiful setting for an open-ended adventure. An adventure where hunting for treasure and monsters can become equally addictive. Dragon Quest Treasures is an absolute delight to play, where you can take your time and discover all corners of Draconia without pressure. There is an amazing amount of quests to complete, accompanied by a recognisable cast of lovable characters. Hunting for shiny, sparking treasure is such fun and full of surprises.
Adventure Academia: The Fractured Continent is a fun game for a while. It’s maybe a game you would play in short bursts, as I did. I did like the battles in the game. However, the storyline got a little tedious after a while. Nevertheless, you will likely find what you want if this is your go-to game genre.
Kynseed is a great game to get lost in for hours. With an entire cast of weird and wacky NPC to keep you company. Plenty of mini-games to play and a large world to explore; there is always something to do in Quill
Overall, My Downtown is a typical match-3 game with the added element of building a city. It will not blow your socks off with anything new or exciting introduced to the match- 3 genre. But it is passable as a fun game to spend some time with for enjoyment. So if match-3 is your go-to genre, you should find what you are looking for in My Downtown. One word of caution, the game on the Switch is priced at $19.99, whereas on Google Play the game is priced at $5.49, I know what format I would choose to play the game on, the cheapest one!
Dolmenjord – Viking Islands is a cute, wholesome puzzle game. Once again, a quality title from Mens Sana Interactive. It is enjoyable to play with gorgeous artwork to look at; what’s not to like? I’d recommend Dolmenjord – Viking Islands to any puzzle-loving fans
I found Flat Eye to be an unsettling game, leaving me with plenty of thoughts on the subjects in the narrative during my nine hours or so with it. In addition, I like the game’s overall premise, and it plays well. However, if the developer intended to leave the player with thoughts about how the future with technology can pan out, they have succeeded.
Pilgrims is an enjoyable and entertaining adventure game for as long as it lasts. However, be aware that you are getting little gameplay time for your five bucks. Of course, it does have a little replayability, though I enjoyed it the first time, I didn’t enjoy it as much on my second playthrough as I already knew how the game pans out. I do wonder if I would have played it again if it wasn’t for writing this review.
Lonesome Village is a sweet, wholesome adventure game; the standout feature for me was all the puzzles I enjoyed. The game took around 6-7 hours to complete, but I think that will depend on how quick you are at solving the puzzles. It is suitable for all ages to play, even though younger children might need help completing some puzzles
Factorio is difficult to recommend for every gamer as the gameplay loop would appeal to only some players. Though if management games are your thing, this one will suck you right in. In addition, Factorio is the most intuitive management game I’ve played for a long time, though I’d probably pick the PC version to cut down on eye strain. Fans of management games will fall in love with its easy-to-pick-up and challenging-to-master gameplay.
