8 / 10.0 - Rhythm Sprout
Jan 31, 2023

It isn’t the most complex or riveting gameplay loop, but then again the popularity of titles like Muse Dash show how simplicity and polish walk hand in hand, and now Rhythm Sprout is furtger proof of this. Recommended to all rhythm game fans looking for a more humorous take on the genre.

7.3 / 10.0 - OddBallers
Jan 29, 2023

At its core, OddBallers is a fun game with an engaging gameplay loop and good enough variety to last for a while, but with little marketing, a seemingly nigh non-existent playerbase and some technical woes it’s hard to recommend this one just yet, unless you’re guaranteed have a group of friends to play with.

Need For Speed has found its identity, and while a few concepts require some finetuning, it’s the best episode in a long while and one of the most stylish and generally finest racers of the generation thus far.

7.7 / 10.0 - WRC Generations
Nov 24, 2022

WRC Generations upgrades the general feel of Nacon’s yearly rally experience, tweaking the physics, handling, and smartly recreating the new challenges of the hybrid cars that are racing in the real-life series this season.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II impresses, albeit without revolutionizing, with a Campaign that smacks of the saga's "best of," a Spec Ops mode that is fun but dares little, and most importantly, a multiplayer side that is damned entertaining even if it rehashes some of the series' unfortunate design choices of recent years. All this is accompanied by an increasingly stunning technical compartment. Call of Duty is alive and well, and this is definitely the best chapter in several years.

7 / 10.0 - Signalis
Oct 25, 2022

In the end, Signalis is a rather fascinating adventure with gorgeous retro visuals and excellent audio colluding with an exciting story and lore and great story to offer a world absolutely worth exploring.

7.2 / 10.0 - Serial Cleaners
Sep 25, 2022

Serial Cleaners is a stealth game with a unique concept and an apt visual style, but with not too original gameplay by the standards of the genre. Nevertheless, the excellent presentation makes it a worthy title for all fans of the genre.

7.4 / 10.0 - Isonzo
Sep 24, 2022

Isonzo is a historically accurate WW1 shooter, with slow and long battles to conquer a few meters of the battlefield. Definitely an improvement over the previous games of the series, but it still needs some refinements and fixes, especially in balance and variety, to really be an unmissable game.

It's not all that unique, with games like BPM: Bullets Per Minute already "inventing" some of these concepts, but the quality is undeniable, and FPS fans should not skip this one for sure. Especially since it's launching day one into Xbox Game Pass.

8 / 10.0 - LEGO Brawls
Sep 2, 2022

LEGO Brawls may have more content than substance, but it succeeds in the intent of creating an accessible and fun competitive party game, and the incredible amount of characters, weapons, and customizations to be unlocked make it a title worth playing for months to come, as long as you are not looking for deeper, more technical gameplay.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection is a true love letter to Konami's own TMNT titles, and one of the best collections of this kind seen to date, with a huge amount of content and extra features such as online play and a very complete Ninja Turtles encyclopedia. A must buy for every lover of the classic TMNT games.

5.5 / 10.0 - MX vs ATV Legends
Jul 15, 2022

there are just way too many technical issues, inconsistencies, AI woes, and design flaws. It’s already a relatively low-budget racer with a quite inviting price point too, but that can’t become an excuse for the launch of a product that simply appears to be unfinished.

5.5 / 10.0 - Spidersaurs
Jul 13, 2022

The frequent crashes I encountered on Xbox Series X, the increasingly bullet sponge nature of enemies, a fairly unsatisfying platforming and with simple level designs relying on cheap tricks such as traps every few steps and endlessly respawning enemies to keep the stakes high.

7.8 / 10.0 - Arcadeggedon
Jul 5, 2022

Arcadegeddon might just secretly become my go-to co-op shooter for some time, and I sincerely hope that the muted Early Access launch last year won't end up hurting the game's long-term plans. Because even with its lack of originality and limited variety, Arcadegeddon offers a surprisingly satisfying and addictive gameplay loop, one that deserves to be built upon for months or years.

7.4 / 10.0 - Redout 2
Jul 2, 2022

Redout 2 sports a great variety with lots of tracks in gorgeous environments, vehicles and different play modes, while introducing a more challenging gameplay removing the pick-up boosts of the first game and betting everything on the boost system; it feels even overly challenging due to some balance and design choices. Adding the too basic multiplayer component to the picture , this feels like a game needing some meaty post-launch adjustments and additions.

8.5 / 10.0 - F1 22
Jun 27, 2022

All in all, F1 22 sets out to achieve various noble objectives, but not everything performs quite as well as intended. The revolutionized cars feel like they should, the new broadcast options and extra accessibility settings allow for a more approachable presentation, and the sheer amount of game modes and content that we'd expect from a Codemasters Formula 1 racer makes this an easy-to-recommend buy for Formula 1 fans.

6.6 / 10.0 - Broken Mind
Jun 23, 2022

In short, Broken Mind can sometimes be a fascinating experience with some interesting story beats and curious playable segments, but it's sadly hampered by formulaic puzzles, clunky combat and uneven technical polish. The game is still worth a shot for those looking for peculiar horror games.

8.7 / 10.0 - Rogue Legacy 2

7.6 / 10.0 - Loot River
May 3, 2022

Loot River combines attractive looks and sounds to roguelike mechanics with Tetris contaminations, giving life to a definitely original gameplay loop. It suffers from some repetitiveness and a not too deep combat system, but it remains capable of fascinating the player thanks to its unique mechanics.

7.4 / 10.0 - Shredders
Apr 19, 2022

In the end, I found myself having a good time with Shredders, but there’s still plenty to iron out in its design before it has the chance to be remembered as one of the great snowboarding titles. Its inclusion in Game Pass both on Xbox and PC makes it easy enough to drop in and out as various updates hit, and I’m curious to see where the game will ultimately land.
