Gravitar: Recharged achieved something that its brothers couldn't. Despite not putting as much emphasis on multiplayer as the others, it managed to present more content variety. However, the biggest highlight really goes to the new visual and sound choices.

7.5 / 10.0 - Sonic Origins
Jul 6, 2022

Sonic Origins is a good collection, with a very well implemented job of changing the look of games to something current without leaving them stretched. Still, this mania of always focusing on the same Sonic games in different collections, given that he has a vast list of interesting titles, is starting to get more and more worn out.

8 / 10.0 - DNF Duel
Jul 15, 2022

DNF Duel is a good fighting game, but nothing more. It has beautiful animations between fights and a very rich universe to use to its advantage. Besides that, the gameplay makes combatants use their creativity to the fullest in combos. But still, it seems that all the meticulousness of the mechanics has not been extended to the game modes and all the rest of the experience that a fighting game can give its fans.

Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium is a very competent collection, which maintains the rhythm of its predecessor and even manages to be more interesting and varied. The individual purchase model may even make us think that it could be more practical just to add new titles to the first game, but even so, the idea of bringing together so many important and even unknown names remains always ideal to kill the nostalgia of the nostalgic and present to the newbies.

6.5 / 10.0 - Frogun
Aug 2, 2022

Frogun is a nice reminder of how the PS1 and N64 classics worked, but it also means bringing out just how annoying the flaws of that era were. The adventure itself manages to entertain, but don't expect anything too captivating other than the protagonist's funny faces.

6 / 10.0 - Avenging Spirit
Aug 10, 2022

Avenging Spirit really is a cool title, but this time maybe it would have worked better as a part of a collection or if it had some significant addition to justify the release. The fact it's very easy and there isn't anything to justify a new playthrough [after beating it] means it'll just be left aside quickly.

7 / 10.0 - Gigapocalypse
Aug 12, 2022

Gigapocalypse is one of those games that you'll find too simple and even a little silly, but that will conquer you little by little, either through good humor or through unbridled destruction. Unfortunately, the fact that it puts too much strain on the buttons will make you think hard about whether it's worth investing an entire afternoon into it.

7.5 / 10.0 - GigaBash
Aug 19, 2022

Despite having little single-player content, GigaBash should be highlighted for its solid gameplay, addicting local multiplayer and charismatic characters. It's a strong choice to gather some friends and throw them at buildings.

7.5 / 10.0 - Yars: Recharged
Aug 22, 2022

Yars: Recharged brings back the bullet hell style of the past in a not-so-creative, yet competent and effective way. The formula replicated by Atari seems to still be working and this type of release always makes us curious to know what else they plan to rescue for current platforms.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Burst Forth!! Choro-gon☆ Breath is a really shallow game, especially compared to other modern titles in the genre. Even so, it offers some good content for the fans and instigates those who are curious to know a fun work. But it would have been worthier to invest into having more playable content than [adding more] collectibles.

The effort put in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection turns this collection into an example to be followed. Konami hit the jackpot in putting this job on the hands of Digital Eclipse, who already has a vast experience in gathering big franchises' classics competently. What we have is a delicious "nostlagia and fun" flavor pizza, seasoned with competence and topped with a great legacy.

7.5 / 10.0 - The Company Man
Sep 2, 2022

The Company Man takes advantage of a very well thought out charm, coming from its charisma. It can be completed in under two hours, but exploring each reference makes us want to stay a little longer. Don't be surprised if, even after you've finished your journey, you feel like working a few extra hours.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina became more interesting in the long run than some of its "big brothers" for simple reasons like free content and easy-to-handle gameplay. It's an excellent title coming from a studio that once again hits the nail on the head in a genre that is beginning to lack new and fresh ideas.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R may not be a 100% new product, but it manages to kill the longing for fans who were bitter about the previous title in the series. Even leaving those who don't know the characters in the dark, its performance improvements make it a great fighting game, with a varied cast and a lot of charisma.

3 / 10.0 - LEGO Brawls
Sep 16, 2022

LEGO Brawls left me really frustrated. Seeing a vast creative opportunity being wasted this way was vexing. Not even having a huge amount of pieces to unlock motivates more than an hour of playing. A shame, to say the least.

7.5 / 10.0 - SpiderHeck
Sep 27, 2022

SpiderHeck is a pretty cool multiplayer to spend hours on end locally. The absence of online participants is a little frustrating, and the single-player content is challenging enough, but a little tiring. Still, it's good to leave this title prepared for weekend afternoons.

8 / 10.0 - Chenso Club
Sep 27, 2022

Chenso Club can even be deceiving by its strong colors and cartoon protagonists, but it's a very well designed challenge for those who like to suffer with well-structured roguelikes, even with the increasing pace of difficulty. It just needs some gameplay tweaks to be perfect.

It's not possible to know if Them’s Fightin’ Herds would have gained notoriety without everything that happened back then, but what matters is that the occasion's spotlight brought it the necessary attention for fighting game fans to find out about this excellent title, which manages to be just as competent as the ones from big studios. It's now time to wait for more characters and the remainder of Story Mode so the experience can be more complete.
